Medium to full body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Moderate to heavy bittersweet flavor with a moderate to heavy bittersweet finish of medium to long duration. Very good brew.

Large Shaker pint draft at the Sweetwater Restaurant in Concourse B near gate 30 of the Atlanta airport. The pour is a hazed orange golden with a minimal white head. The aroma is an orange pineapple citrus with resin and a bit of cracker malt and grass. The taste is bright and fresh tropical fruit along with the resin, and the cracker malt. The grass present in the finish. The palate is a light to medium bodied with a soft natural carbonation and the grass mineral fruit resin finish. Tasty.

UPDATED: JAN 2, 2018 (12oz bottle) AROMA: initially very grapefruity, then passionfruit, definitely a tropical and citrus nose, some underlying grain/malt with dairy/cream/vanilla APPEARANCE: beige straw yellow, tad hazy, medium oily and clingy head TASTE: hop forward, green, citrus rind, grapefruit, toast, not much malt but just enough to give a foundation for all the hops, good amount of bitterness PALATE: medium body, although quite flavorful it is a bit lighter and fluid than many other IPAs, crisp, fresh, clean with a little bite, dry/hoppy finish OVERALL: a nice, fresh, tropical take on an IPA. A bit light in some respects but I like the fruitiness balanced with decent bitterness. Very enjoyable, would like to drink a few of these.

Big burst of fruit up front. And the fruit is something new (papaya, they say) but blended in well. This feels like a logical extension of the base Sweet Water IPA. It's got a lot going on for a 5.5 % beer. Smooth and clean on the back end with no lingering sweetness. Good stuff.

Bottle gushed once opened. Has a little bit of that mild BO aroma in the glass. When you pour it in, it wants to overflow the head over the side of the glass, even with a small amount of pour. Nice rainbow trout on the front, if that's what it is. Yes, typical beer that wants to be a big IPA but never quite gets tremendously bitter like most well made IPA, it makes an attempt of wanting to be crisper. .
