From old tasting notes. Medium gold color with a big creamy white head. Sweet malt aroma. Dry hop flavor throughout. Bitter hop finish and aftertaste. Nice flavor. Medium full bodied with good balance. A good beer at a bargain price @ $3.00 per six pack. deanso (10124) - Chiang Mai, THAILAND - MAY 20, 2016

medium creamy white head. Clear golden pour. Boring pils.
Tasted under the name Swinckels’ Pilsener Draught Good thick yellowish head over lively carbonated old-golden beer; textbook lace. Malty, pilsener and quite toasted malts. Very malty taste, but with a nice bitterish lining, setting off the toasted malts very well. Finish is dull-sweet, however, the carbonation making up for most of the flavour. Light to medium bodied, empty palate. Unassuming Pilsener, in its megalager emporium far from the worst. Headbanger (4023) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - APR 18, 2014
Bottle (Old Notes)-Pours golden with a small head. Aroma of corn and grains. Taste of the same. A cheap import that did the job back in college and tasted pretty darn good. ShivanDragon (4649) - Leeuwarden, NETHERLANDS - APR 27, 2013

niets van opgeschreven, schreef toendertijd hoofdzakelijk de pilseners op, deze blijkbaar niet, voeg deze enkel toe om op de lijst met gedronken bieren te staan. gemiddelde rating genomen
Bottle 65cl @carcassonne, a clear yellow beer with medium head. Aroma is on dry malt and medium hops, basic lager, grassy dry finish, drinkable but no more. Grzesiek79 (4452) - Radom, POLAND - MAR 23, 2012

Swinkels was a beer recommended by the bartender to try for once. Well I tried it for once, and it will be the last time. It’s not because I didn’t like the beer, it was because it’s not an interesting beer. If you serve it into a random pilsner glass, like Heineken or Bavaria, you will not notice the difference. Same colour, almost no aroma. The taste disappears quickly leaving you feeling like you’re missing out on something. Quite disappointing unfortunately JPDIPSO (6293) - Wauwatosa, USA - APR 28, 2004
I remember the first time I had this brew some 20 years ago. It was at Paddy’s Pub in Madison, WI. We all thought it was called Swinkels because it had flakes of protein, or other stuff, floating about in it. My Brother-in-law and I still refer to these flakes in any beer as swinkels. Enough of the history. Light golden color with a moderate white head. Light floral and noble hops aroma with a small backdrop of pale malt. Start is lightly floral sweet with a later hops bite that keep so me of this sweetness in check. Fairly run of the mill. pkbites (1001) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 7, 2004
Smells like Heineken, tastes like a lighter version of Heineken, but man, it ain't Heineken.
