Bomber from Burlington into snifter. Poured a murky caramel color. Smells of caramel malt. Tastes of apple, malt and caramel. Decent beer. Difficult to compare against other Vermont heavyweights.
Bottle shared in MV. Pours clear orange with a fairly tight, foamy off-white head. The aroma holds toasted grains, some English yeast, a few leaves, citrus peel. Light sweet flavour with more toasted grains, more orange rind, a little grassy bitterness. Light bodied with average carbonation. Finishes with some further leafy hops, citrus peel, further lightly toasted grains, more bread. Not bad overall. shawnmurphy (535) - Plattsburgh, New York, USA - JUN 27, 2017
I’ve had this in the bottle and on tap, but this rating is for a pint pour at Our House Bistro in Plattsburgh, New York. Pours clear amber, minimal off-white head and lacing. Aroma: brown sugar, some nuts. Flavor: pretty much the same Mouthfeel: medium-bodied. It’s OK, drinkable, non-offensive, but really boring. I can’t understand why it’s so popular. 17Beer (368) - Connecticut, USA - MAY 22, 2017
Mild aromas of bread. Pours an orange gold with a thin white head and a lot of lacing. Sweet and sour balance with a light lingering sour finish. Good carbonation. A nice drinkable ale. JBell14 (105) - Chelmsford, Massachusetts, USA - MAY 21, 2017
Nice amber color with an off white head. Medium body, malty, with a little bitter from the hops on back end

Keg at Switchback, Burlington. Cloudy amber, small head. Fruity bready nose. Mid sweet with medium body and clean mouthfeel. Crystal malt and bread, some hay. Mid bitter finish.

lightly orange (in this bar’s light). Odd for an ale. It is plenty turbid, so I believe it’s unfiltered.
NOTES- I’ve already said the most interesting things about this beer. mahkus (136) - Aberdeen, SCOTLAND - JAN 3, 2017
A very pleasant bitter. Quickly dissipating head. Cloudy appearance because of the sediment. Slightly malty aroma. Nicely balanced flavour. Onslow (1509) - Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA - OCT 13, 2016
Draft. Copper brew with tan head. Nutty aroma, sweet malt, hints of grass and floral hops. Taste is modest sweet malt, earth and a little grass. brokensail (16486) - Dublin, California, USA - SEP 7, 2016
On tap @ Switchback. Cloudy orange beer with a white head. Lightly earthy and floral hops on the nose and tongue. Some sweet caramel, bread, and toasted malts as well. Pretty malt forward beer, in fact. There is a light bitterness, some apple esters, and woody hops. Maybe a little bit on the grassy side. It’s okay. Mark_Eck (1998) - - AUG 27, 2016
Bottle. Pours a hazy copperish color. Aroma and taste are grains and a little hops.
