Bottled 500ml (Mallaskukko, Turku). Dark ruby color, vanishing head. Plum, raisin, dark malts in the nose. Medium-bodied. Quite flat. Sweet and bready, caramelly. Like homebrew version of the style.

The aroma is full of chocolate, caramel, coffee, dried fruits, wheat and sugar. The color is dark caramel, reminiscent of cola. The taste is full of sugar, chocolate, caramel, coffee and dried fruits. A nice beer!

Good aromas of berries, barley and malt. The flavor of the coffee, berries and malt. OK bitterness which fills the upper part of the mouth briefly. OK beer. Gets better when it’s a little warmer. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

TorbenJensen (1529) - Valby, DENMARK - JUL 3, 2015
Lovely rich foam. Smells of lightly roasted caramel malt. Caramel malt flavor is going in the direction of Toffifee, that is, light caramel sweet, but it also has the taste of dried dark fruit. Elegant sweet doppelbock with subtle hops conclusion that reassert a finely edge. Very well-brewed and tasty.

thomat (3927) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JUN 8, 2015
On tap @ Ölfestival 2015. Dark amber with asmall tan head. Malty and fruity tones. Malt, caramel and fruit. Medium to full body with a nice balanced finish.

Bottle. It’s lightly unclear in the glass, dark amber to reddish brown in color and with a small, dense, light beige head. It’s very meaty on the nose, with beef stock and dried fruits and some toffee. Some roasted malts in the flavor, with chocolate, beef stock and a touch of bitterness and alcohol. Full body, soft carbonation. Lasting meaty finish. Not my favorite doppelbock, but sort of decent. 150207
