Dark brown color with tan head. Intense fruit on the aroma with some dark malts underneath. Taste is mostly sweet and fruity with some toasted malt in the background. Medium body and carbonation. Interesting combination of a doppelbock and a fruit beer.

Pallleon (363) - Budapest, HUNGARY - FEB 20, 2017
Fekete szín, nincs sok habja. Áfonyás illat. Íze édes, kicsi fanyarsággal ötvözve. Sütemény mellé jó kísérő.

Nische (2239) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JAN 22, 2017
Bottle from trade with drlb81, many thanks! Opaque dark brown with a small head. Aroma and taste of artificial blueberry cobbler. Oily and syrupy. Heavily sweet and quite boozy. Very interesting but way to artificial.

rayaron (1839) - Kfar Saba, ISRAEL - JAN 10, 2017
Bottle at Budapest. Opaque brown with brownish head. Intense sweet aroma of berries, lactic. Sweet flavor of dark berries, very alcoholic, a bit lactic, sourish, some spiciness. Full-bodied.

Dark brown, not quite black. Medium carbonation. Didn’t actually know what I was buying at the time, was surprised when I cracked it open. Had an intense fruity aroma, not unlike prunes. Eventually, it turned out to be blueberry. Some hops, alcohol, and chocolate deep in there as well. Tastes fruity as well, the berries really come through. Starts sweet and fruity, finishes with some roasted malt notes, with some hop bitterness and an obvious alcohol, a bit too much actually. The booziness ruins it a bit, honestly. Like somebody dropped some bad vodka in here. Not bad.

PotjeBier (3350) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - AUG 27, 2016
33 cl bottle @ home, souvenir from Budapest. Very dark color, mostly opaque. Dense beige head, not reteining till the end. Aroma: forest fruit (blueberry apparently), light roasted malts, perfumy. Retronasal it’s sweet, perfumy, forest fruit. Flavor is moderate to full sweet, toffee-ish, with a light fruity sourness. Medium bodied. Long finish with no new flavor. Almost like a fruit-soda, but quite enjoyable.

I always feel that this beer is underrated a bit. For a fruity double bock it is perfect. only thing is if some one it not a double bock fan. First of all, it is a good idea to use blackberries. Very good balance. good drinkability. A little boozy aroma and aftertaste but not catastrophic. good malt mouthfeel. Enjoyable as a dessert beer with small sips, or even for quenching thirst drinking it ice cold!
