750ml bottle (Bierkompass.de)

Straw coloured, UFOs. brief head. Milky creamy rice pudding cooked milk aroma, some fruitiness. Slightly watery palate, fairly refreshing, crispish carbonation. Fruity body, fleshy sweet fruits - pineapple. Finish has some nice bready malts, just a hint of saisony farmhouse yeastiness. Sub-par saison

Hazy yellow color. Nose: very floral. Taste: very well balanced, bitter, but also sweet finish. Very nice saison!

RexTalionis (3813) - FINLAND - JAN 5, 2014
Bottle 75 cl, BBE 02/2016. Pours unclear pale goden in color with a creamy

whitish head. Leaves a nice lacing on the glass. Fruity citrus, summer meadow

and lots of more lime-like notes in aroma. Light biting peppery spicyness and

lemony juicyness mostly in taste, some parts are slightly bitter, some are again

more sweeter as in ripe garden fruityness. Nice one with a very refreshing,

slighty bitter, ending.

(750ml bottle) Pours a cloudy maize body with a small white head. Aroma of herbs, earth, florals, and citrus. Flavor of citrus, herbaceous, grass, earth, florals, dried apple, yeast, and minerals with a dry, mildly bitter finish.

My personal opinion is that this is a very nice example of this style, better than some more well known examples. Wish I had more in the cellar.

Super hazy golden coloured body with a soapy, full white head, about three centimetres tall. Aroma of yeast, pepper, coriander seed, curacao, alcohol and tons of hay and grass. Medium-bodied; Assertive grassy and wheat flavours throughout with a bunch of pepper and clove flavours tucked in with some herbes de provence, lavender and sage, all with a very nice glow of yeast and wheat. Aftertaste is quite complex as well with the spices ranging from white pepper to oregano back to coriander seed and even some allspice. Overall, a very nice saison with tons of flavours from hay and grass notes to the obligatory spice notes. A great beer to sample - very nice to find and I wish I could have sampled them all! I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased from Bacchus Cornelius in Bruges, Belgiuim on 14-August-2013 for €2,50 sampled in my hotel room here in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg on 16-August-2013.
