On tap @Luppolo Station (Rome). Bruna intensa, schiuma beige media. Al naso sentori di caramello, zucchero di canna, frutta candita e noci. In bocca è dolce, caramellata, con finale appena amarognolo. Corpo pieno, carbonazione medio-leggera. Ottima!

Bottle at home. Gusher. Murky brown pour, thick off-white head. Aroma of roasty malts, dark fruits, candi sugar and licorice. Flavor is very sweet, slightly spicy and slightly roasty. Decent body. Too sweet.

Winter beer since 2008, with off-white, loose foam and dark copper colour. Rich aroma of sweet tobacco, candied cherries, peat, orange liqueur, carrots; sweet onset, resinous, oily, drying towards the finish with warm alcohol and mild herbal hoppiness. Very agreeable Belgian-style barley wine.
