UPDATED: MAY 12, 2014 Big beige and very stable head on top of a deep dark-brown beer. Chocolate and coffee/mocha fill the nose and dominate flavourwise, along with some smooth and rounded bitterness, vanilla, nuts. Aftertaste’s a little bit dry. Medium-full bodied, creamy texture, low carbonated. Nice brew. Russo (2012) - Hemhofen, GERMANY - APR 9, 2014
Brown color with a thin off-white head. Aroma is floral roasted malt and sweet. Flavor of is like aroma with hints of chocolate. Low to medium carbonation and body with a dry finish. 77ships (11304) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - MAR 29, 2014
Courtesey & thanks to Kraddel. 33 cl. bottle sampled. GUSHER, all over the place. Pours a dark brown, faint red hue, little head. Smells sour, lactic, chocolate, tart, sour milk, coffee grounds,… Tastes of minerals, sour milk and sour coffee grounds, tart, spoiled cream, chocolate, chocolate malts,… Higher carbonation, infection style. To me this tasted like infected, whatever it was, it was a drain pour. kraddel (9170) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - MAR 28, 2014
Bottle , bit gushing Westmeister (2127) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - MAR 2, 2014
Pours dark brown small white head
Smell is sweet earth
Very high carbo , chocolate , bit metallic , very nice , yet simple and overcarbonated
From the $1 bin at Hop City (from old phone notes). Had to spell out the name in the phone to remember. Poured with crazy head and ample lace. Head literally lasted minutes. Smell is candied sugar, super sweet, little spice. Taste is little cardboard, cola, ripe fruits, little spice, candied sugar, toffee. Understand why this was only a dollar. Past its prime and light struck or poorly kept. Oh well still worth the dollar.

33cl bottle from Beerhive. jamestulloch (4367) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - OCT 11, 2013
Appearance - total gusher to start with so lost a third I’d guess Then opaque black with a generous creamy head.
Nose - nutty with an elegant sweet toffee thing going on.
Taste - definite boozey note initially then it opens oit into more sweet toffee.
Palate - initially medium bodied then the sweetness kicks in. The finish could be fresher but the richness becomes accustomed to.
Overall - yes very enjoyable.
Bottle from The Beerhive. Dark brown body with a medium beige head that holds well. Excellent lacing. Aroma of caramel, salt and milk chocolate. Flavour of raisins, nuts and toffee. Full body with a foamy mouthfeel. Average carbonation. A decent but unspectacular Belgian Ale. Trappist1 (682) - Diest, BELGIUM - JUN 10, 2013
Pours a lovely ruby with a lingering creamy head. Aroma is mostly malt with a strange hint of roastiness. jvhemert (438) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - APR 18, 2013
Aroma: roasty, leather, cereal,
Appearance: brown, cloudy, rocky head,
Taste: very bitter, light sweetness,
Palate: medium body, thin feel, lively, astringent, bitter, long finish,
Overall: good ale, bit too watery, too much malt aromas.
