11.2oz bottle. Quite lively, exploding gusher when poured. Steady monstrous head. Clean, minty chocolate aroma. This really comes off to me as a Belgian Black IPA, not overbearing, but really quite similar. Such an explosive thick layer of head, I can’t get much aroma. Sweet and rich, bitter chocolate covered hop tones. A really tasty beer, approaching the mint flavor of a girl scout cookie. A really nice beer.

Bottle. Major gusher! Olive drab pour with gushing off white head. Nose of prune, water taffy, yeast, dark fruits and sweet malt. Grainy barley and muted dark fruit mouth feel with a light to medium body.

Test vom 15.10.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 10,8,10,11,8,9 - 9,35

Bottle that was very kindly left for me at The Chequers, Little Gransden by Hughie, cheers mate, consumed 06-10-09 Pours very dark brown in colour its a little murky, with a light beige head. Some coffee grains on the nose and a little bit of bitter cocoa. There is a nice combination between the cocoa, coffee, and also fruit. Touch of light cinnamon also, but chocolate, sweet fruits start to dominate. A nice slightly different Belgian beer. A7 A3 F7 P4 Ov14 3.5

Bottle. A light aroma of liquor, malty and light alcoholic. The head is beige, medium large and creamy with a normal duration. The body is nearly black. A strong taste of malt and chocolate (mostly bitter chocolate), which gets a little bit bitter after a neutral start. The finish is long and malty. The carbonation is normal, the body is medium strong and creamy.

33cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Bottle almost exploded upon opening, leaving just enough to sample the beer. Unclear reddish brown colour, creamy off white to beige head. Thick aroma of caramel, malts, molasses, anise, a hint of mint. Flavour is sweet, malty, caramel/toffee/fudge, some yeast, some subdued sour spiciness. Light bitter finish. Fullbodied, soft, light prickly mouthfeel. Tasty beer.
