Bottled (BB 02/2009)
Almost clear amber color (before pouring the yeast), small white head. Toffee, ryebread, malts making kind of musty biere de garde -type nose. Crisp carbonation. Toffee, clove, iron, nuts and sticky hops in the flavor. In the aftertaste slight bitterness and touch of vanilla. Interesting and not really Belgish.

sayravai (4710) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JUL 7, 2008
(Bottled, 5% ABV) Hazy amber with a small, but lasting head. Aroma of toffee-biscuity, grainy malt, some banana-citric fruitiness, and hints of yeast and vegetables. Fruity and malty flavor with some peaty smokiness (especially in the finish), some solventy notes, spices, medium bitterness, a bit harsh. Medium, neutral body with quite low carbonation. The solventy notes vanish with yeast, making the flavor actually quite enjoyable - especially for a 5% brew. Not bad.

ZBF 08. Pours a slightly cloudy golden color with a thin white head. Interesting aroma of spices and fruits. The flavor has a yeasty character accompanied by spices and fruits, it’s also well attenuated. The body is light with an oily texture and lively carbonation. Interesting.
