Together with chefs Onno Kokmeijer and Arjan Speelman of the Michelin-starred restaurant Ciel Bleu we created this highly tasty I.P.A. The dry-hop with Waimea and Citra hops gives the beer a floral, bitter character and the addition of kaffir lime provides a tropical touch. Completed by a deep golden color, the Ciel Bleu I.P.A. is an irresistable beer. Ciel Bleu I.P.A. is on the menu of restaurant Ciel Bleu and is limited available in our pub.

On tap at craft & draft, Amsterdam. Sweet and zesty citrus and pineapple aroma, with pilsner malt and light celery. Slightly hazy bronze under a persistent white flannel blanket and lace. Sweet start with pilsner malt, quickly leading to zesty citrus and tropical hops and then a dry, woody bitterness and finish. Sort of Belgian fermentation, but without the peppery phenolics or esters. Medium light body, high carbonation, crisp.u

Bottle sample at a tasting at Tom L’s place. Thanks avrashi. Clear golden with medium yellowish head. Creamy aroma, grainy, notes off flowers and citrus, piney. The flavor has light hoppy bitterness, piney, some citrus and butter with some graininess. Moderate carbonation, light to medium-bodied. Not so fresh.

A pretty good, fairly dry IPA. Medium bodied, crisp, and aggressive. Tried in Amsterdam in 2015.

Bottled from Biernavigatie. Hazy orange/amber colored, medium head. Hoppy nose, lots of tropical fruit, some yeast., somewhat soapy. Hoppy, fruity, but especially a very very bitter flavor. Dry and bitter finish. Probably good in combination with food, but stand-alone actually quite out of balance.

Bottle at home. Clear amber with small bubbly off white head. Spruce, grapefruit, beeswax, resin, lemon, marmalade, quite some caramel and even a hint of fudge. Underneath it all is a light spicy yeast. Medium sweet with long lasting medium bitterness. Medium bodied with oily feel. Very oily and almost waxy beer but nicely balanced by the grapefruit notes and sweetness.
