COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Together with chefs Onno Kokmeijer and Arjan Speelman of the Michelin-starred restaurant Ciel Bleu we created this highly tasty I.P.A. The dry-hop with Waimea and Citra hops gives the beer a floral, bitter character and the addition of kaffir lime provides a tropical touch. Completed by a deep golden color, the Ciel Bleu I.P.A. is an irresistable beer. Ciel Bleu I.P.A. is on the menu of restaurant Ciel Bleu and is limited available in our pub.

330ml bottle. Barely clear amber colour with average, thick, frothy, fairly lasting and lacing, white head. Herbal hoppy aroma, hints of lemongrass. Taste is dry, bitter hoppy, minimally citrusy, peppery herbal spicy, hints of lime, old peppermint, balm. Doesnt work for me.

330ml bottle

Batch 2013-15 - Pours dark orange with a large foamy head. Aroma of stingy floral hops, exotic fruits, hints of caramel. Taste is hoppy, floral and stingy with floral notes, citrus, hay and exotic fruits. Finish is carbonated, hoppy and fruity with some bitterness. Okay, quite fruity IPA.

caesar (7096) - Bunnik/Utrecht, NETHERLANDS - MAY 17, 2013
Bottled., batch 2013-15. Hazy to cloudy amber color, huge thick off-white head. Soft hoppy aroma, tropical fruit, bit spicy and yeasty. Im smelling something weird fruity, which probably is the lime, not as citrussy, but more slight soapy and a hint of bubblegum. Quite bitter in taste, seriously bitter actually in contrast to a lot of bad other Dutch "IPAs". Good fruity, quite dry, but with enough caramel malt in the back to carry the bitterness. Quite high on carbonation.

33cl Bottle from De Bierkoning, at WWT II. Murky orange amber colour, white head. Aroma of sweet lime, fruity hops, citrus, yeast. Flavour is medium sweet, tropical fruits, kaffir lime, fruity hops, malts, light caramel, firm fruity hoppy bitter finish. Nice. Light to medium-bodied.

Countbeer (6592) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - JUN 24, 2013
Bottle @ IADM tasting: Served in Chouffe glass: Very big and slowly changing creamy white colored foamy head on top of a murky orange colored beer. Aroma has lots of fruits like apricot, peach, exotic fruit, hops, floral and some malts. Very nice. Flavours are very fruity, peach, apricot, exotic fruit, floral, nettle, plant, hops, light malty and hoppy. Aftertaste is bitter, fruity, hoppy, floral and herbal. Very nice. Low carbo, soft creamy silky mouthfeel, good medium body and a creamy texture. Lovely beer. t IJ is working well on their new beers. Nice.

erickok (6034) - Leuven, BELGIUM - JUN 9, 2013
Very dark hazy yet appealing light brown body with very creamy and stable yet huge off white head. Unique yeast dominating the aroma, yet not exactly IJ like, dominating the aroma, that?s supported by lots of biscuit and caramel malts. Very well hopped to, to make a gourmet mix in total. Exactly what this beer was supposed to be and it hits the sweet spot for me. As the refreshing yet full body with solid bitterness (that might be hard to pair with food) and I love it. (33cl bottle traded with Rob, thanks!)

Bottle @ joes shared by me. Totaly murky orange brown colour with a huge white head. Smells apricot, peach, sticky sweet, syrup. Tastes quite sweet, fruity, peach, apricot. Could be more bitter. Medium body, aoft carbo.

Maakun (5344) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - JUL 13, 2015
Bottle at home. Clear amber with small bubbly off white head. Spruce, grapefruit, beeswax, resin, lemon, marmalade, quite some caramel and even a hint of fudge. Underneath it all is a light spicy yeast. Medium sweet with long lasting medium bitterness. Medium bodied with oily feel. Very oily and almost waxy beer but nicely balanced by the grapefruit notes and sweetness.
