4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
I really love this one. I don’t agree that this is the same as Turbock because I’ve had both side by side and I love the Ij Ijnde Jaars, but I regress. Bottle. Pours a murky brown with a big head. Aroma is a beautiful belgian yeast, spiciness, and some etoh. Flavor is loaded with spices which dominate this beer all over, I don’t know what it is that makes this one stand out to me but the balance is just right.

Bottle 0.33l from Ekodis Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Taste at home. 06.12.2016. Pour it dark hazy amber color with small white head. Aroma lots of apples, cane sugar, fruity on the back. Taste as well, lots of sugar, caramel feel, apples, have that kind of Belgian carachter, sweet fruity, apples, pear, pinch of spices, long after taste of sweet sugar, medium body, slick feel, average carbonation, decent.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
IJndejaars 2016... Pours hazy brown with a small rapidly diminishing head. Aroma is pretty fruity with some yeasty notes. Quite malty as well. Sharp scent of alcohol though. Nevertheless, it is quite appealing to the nose. Spicy with some malty notes and quite a pleasant yeasty touch. It has some disturbing earthy notes as well. Somehow that seems to be quite common with most ’t IJ beers, but nonetheless it doesn’t ruin the brew. So tastewise it remains quite decent. Medium bodied, thin texture, bit too overcarbonated. In general a decent brew, that definitely has its misses. However, still worth a sip.

2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bottle @ home. Slightly hazy amber to brown colour with a small off-white head. Smells sweet, weird fruit. Tastes weird fruit, sweet and also has something that’s in Delirium Tremens too. Quite a weird and even slightly unpleasant taste. I can’t finish it.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Wow. Ein Statement in Richtung Modern Belgium.0,33/2,50€.Bottle. What a nice price ☺ . Or what...Quark..Rosine..aaahhhh. 2016er Edition.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
0.33 l bottle from ’De Bierkoning’, 2015 version. Clear, amber with a thin, frothy, almost stable, tan head. Sweetish-spicy aroma of coriander, orange jam, honey and toffee. Sweet, spicy taste of coriander, orange jam, toffee, licorice, some clove and honey, followed by a medium long, slightly warming, light bitter and spicy finish. Medium to full body, creamy to oily mouthfeel, soft to average carbonation. Lots of coriander in here, even more so in the aroma which is simply too much. The taste is a bit more balanced and rescues it, but this is not going to be one of my favourites. Still decent though.
