COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our I.P.A. is a dark-blonde beer with an emphatic, hoppy flavour. We add hops to the beer during the maturing process as well as the brewing to produce delicious aromas of flowers and grapefruit. A beer with a fruity, bitter aftertaste that lingers for a long time.

Bottled from Bierkoning, Amsterdam. Very hazy orange-brown colored, lots of tiny yeast particles, off-white thick and lasting head. Hops in aroma (of course), but also caramel notes, malts, some spices, and the t IJ yeast is definitely there. Yeasty flavor, hoppy, caramel malts, developing flavor from initially somewhat sweet towards a more bitter and dry finish. Dry and warming (thatís surprising) finish. The t IJ fingerprint is definitely there, a very original angle on the IPA style.

Degelijke ipa van brouwerij 't IJ, maar niet eentje die lang blijft hangen. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Butelka 0,33l. Piękna piana. Aromat przyjemny, chmielowy, delikatnie naftowy. W smaku bardzo dobrze, chmielowo, wytrawnie, goryczka solidnie zaznaczona, ale nie zalega.

Aroma of spices, tropical fruit, some floral notes. Hazy golden color with medium to big white head, nice retention with some lacing. Taste is again spicy, hoppy and flowery. Medium bitter. Long bitter finish. Thin to medium body, soft carbonation. Fine but nothing spectacular.

Keg from Brewdog Dundee. Lots of character - malt and tobacco and grown up sorts of hoppy aromas going on, pours a satisfyingly deep colour too. Hops are rich, leathery, yet still fresh. Really stands up and contrasts well with the hop bombs and tropical cloudiness that are dominant at the moment. This is not those. This is actually rather unique in the category. I loved it.

(330 ml bottle) Pours a slightly hazy golden-orange beer, with flecks of yeast in the glass. The carbonation is slow and fine, becoming vigorous when agitated, and producing a foamy white head. The aroma is initially malt-heavy, with lots of biscuit, fresh malt, honeycomb, and cereal. The yeast aroma also dominates at first. The hops are reminiscent of an English IPA: mostly orange and lemon, with a little grapefruit, apple, and apricot kernel. This is followed by some freshly-cut grass, mineral water, spice, and floral notes. Overall, itís quite a bitter beer, but the strong aroma of malt and yeast retains a sense of balance. The mouthfeel is medium-light and a little watery, but it still makes for fairly smooth drinking. Some of the aromas donít match too well, and the beer could be better blended. Nonetheless, this is a palatable IPA.

Keg at Brewdog Shepherds Bush, London. A hazy dark golden/orange coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, pine, yeasty, grapefruit on the nose. Tastes quite similar, hoppy, pine, yeasty, grapefruit with a bitter finale. Decent IPA.
