Our bokbier for Easter; not too sweet, thereby producing a fine flavour. The flavour and aromas give a nicely balanced mix of fruit, coriander, yeast and hops. An enjoyable combination in which the bitter element gets an additional boost from the lightly roasted malt. The aftertaste is slightly sparkling, with a long-lasting, fresh, sweet flavour. An excellent beer for celebrating the arrival of spring!

12/XI/16 - 33cl bottle @ home - BB: II/2017 (2016-1298) Thanks to Erwin for sharing the bottle!

Clear orange beer, creamy yellowish head, irregular, unstable, bit adhesive. Aroma: pretty sourish, rhubarb jam, bit dirty, yeasty, pears, is this infected? MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: very yeasty start, malts, lots of grains, banana peel. Aftertaste: spicy, coriander, yeast, soft bitterness.

Light amber, white thick head. Freshly ground malt, slightly citrussy, hay. Medium sweet, soft carbonation. Doesn’t seem to have 7 % Alcohol. A very drinkable Bock! Nice.

Medium aroma of malts, caramel, yeast, grain, orange, hops and spices.

Hazy/turbid golden/amber beer with a slight/medium off-white head.

Starts medium sweet with malts, caramel, yeast and orange; ends slightly/medium dry with grain and hops.

This beer is rather intense, complex and balanced. Slightly too sweet and dry without many flavours to back this up; still amazing though.

In bottle. A very good surprise. I was reluctant to drink it, but it’s a good beer. Medium white head, not very fizzy. Strong coriander smell. Very sweet and oily tongue. I see it as a light Tripel Karmeliet

A HELLER BOCK MASTERPIECE!! Verspielt belgisch, floral hoppy und unwiderstehlich süffig. Extravagant&HOT;!!

From bottle. Pours clear Amber. Aromas of toasted malts, burnt toffee. Savoury and sweet on the palate, chocolate and nuts.

jamestulloch (4158) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - APR 27, 2016
Bottle at Appellation Wines tasting. Clear golden body with a thin white head. Faint lacing. Aroma of bay leaf, lime chutney and yeast. Flavour of bread, honeyed malt and sweetcorn. Medium body with an oily mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Interesting aroma but it tastes overly sweet.
