Formerly called ’t IJ Scharrel IJwit A full-bodied, Amsterdam wheat beer that is dangerously ‘moreish’. Slightly cloudy, it has a beautiful golden colour and a soft, foamy head. When we brew IJwit, we use wheat malt as well as barley malt, which is also how the beer gets its name. The wheat malt gives the beer a delightful, fresh flavour, and the addition of coriander and lemon during the brewing process produces a rich aroma of banana, citrus and spices. Topped off by a fine, slightly sweet aftertaste, IJwit is a delicious thirst-quencher.

Decent wit, not perfectly in style cus of the high ABV. Dry, yeasty, watery body though fruity citrucy Finish... I like it...

Bottle at great bar in Groningen. A really nice witbier, so so fresh and exactly, moreish. It went down a fresh treat. All the usual witbier flavours of coriander, citrus etc. very nice.

Erzengel (8724) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - MAR 10, 2017
Bottle from ah in Arnhem. Fresh and nice herbal beginning. The yeast is spicy and dry, the body is yeasty grainy and nice herbal spicy. Fresh and typical, a bit sweetish but nice round and fresh.

Ruikt naar koriander. Smaakt als prima witbier. Fruitig, fris. Beter in de zomer

Thanks Fran for sharing! Misty yellow-golden body. Aroma.. lime, coriander, soft. Light taste, fresh, coriander and lime, perfumey, ends slightly yeasty. This is definitely a quality Belgian Wit, no doubts about it, even if my description is vague.

Yves (3042) - Turnhout, BELGIUM - OCT 23, 2016
Alone at home. Hazy blond colored beer with small white head and lots of carbonation. Herby spiced aroma. Full sparkling palate. Finish is bitter spicy dry.
