Pours a clouded-with-yeast-sediment reddish hue. Small tannish head that falls quickly and leaves no lacing behind. Big malty aroma. Bit of a sherry/port thing going on. Fruity. Sweet mouth. Malty and raisiny. Very good. Pleasantly balanced and a joy to drink. Might age a few and see how they hold up. Benzai (15586) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - AUG 26, 2011
Bottle at home, shared with DutchDrebus. Nice amber colored beer. Decent smell, nice taste even though the high ABV. jkwood04 (5448) - Connecticut, USA - AUG 14, 2011
11.2oz bottle in a Trappist glass. Pours dark brown with ruby notes and a little head. Seems like it might be a bad bottle because there is little carbonation. Aroma strong of spicy yeast, hints of chocolate in the strong caramel and doughy malts, and some light hops. Flavor about the same. Flat, but I think it’s the bottle. A decent beer. Aroma of sour Apple and yeast. Pours super thick, heavily carbonated, and a huge frothy head that really lingers. Plenty of dregs on this so check your bottle. Tastes sweet of cider, sour malts and alcohol. This is a real kick in the head but quite tasty. DutchDrebus (5981) - Oirschot, NETHERLANDS - JUN 22, 2011
Dark amber/brown colour. Really heavy beer. Everything about this beer is nice, but not more then nice to me.

Hazy brown with a tan/white head. A malty aroma. Flavor is tart with a crisp finish. Strong, but punchy. Somewhat fruity and sour. tronraner (2459) - Walland, Tennessee, USA - MAY 26, 2011
Bottle. Pours a cloudy amber brown with small but tight off white head. The aroma is rich and malty with some raisin, dark fruits, pecan swirls, yeasty banana, and even a hint of port. The flavor is prune with some notes of toffee, cereal, leather, and some sweet confectionery spices. The finish is smooth and warm, but without any booze burn. After a few sips, a smoky aftertaste starts to build up that I find myself liking quite a bit. Pretty good stuff, really. thirdeye11 (6160) - Dallas, Texas, USA - MAY 22, 2011
(33cl bottle) murky brown-orange pour, fine off white bubbles. Nose of caramel, sweet, Belgian yeast, wood, pear, vanilla, bourbon, comples nose and delicious aromas. taste of umami, chalky yeast, alcohol, wood, spirits, taste is good but wish it tasted as good as it smelled! Very carbonated, bit of alcohol heat, but the chalky yeast takes away from the finish. tderoeck (9656) - Gent, BELGIUM - APR 24, 2011

Red to amber coloured beer, light beige to yellow head, much like a soda head: lots of big bubbles first, then quickly falls down to just a small layer on the beer. Lots of small particles floating around. Aroma: caramel, grapefruit, dried fruits. MF: light carbon, full body. Taste: very sweet at first: sweet malts, candi sugar, very fruity, grenadine, but then it gets a bit more bitter with hints of grapefruits and citrus acidity coming through and partly balancing the sweetness. Aftertaste: some bitterness and citrus, but also raisins and still some sugar. It’s not a cloying beer, but still pretty sweet.
orange/cuivre, col épais blanc;
