janubio (922) - SPAIN - MAY 19, 2007
Bottle, 33 cl. Pours a pale cloudy yellow colour. Good head with big bubbles that fades quickly leaving some lace. Smell of apples and plums, but mostly barnyard, or horseblanket. Very strong. Flavor is full and completely sour. Mouth is vinegar, and if you are able to pass the acidity, you can find some fruity taste of cake. Difficult beer, too much acidity. I may have to try it some other time and review it.

skortila (5985) - Baarn, NETHERLANDS - APR 8, 2007
Aroma of berries and some yeast. Very cloudy, brown coloured withan off-white, lasting, medium head. Taste is sweet, slightly tart, bit yeasty with fruity berries and a bit citrus.Light bodied. Tasty.

Maria (10211) - Thisted, DENMARK - APR 1, 2007
Amber with a red hue and the head is slightly reddish golden, quickly disappearing but leaves a nice lace. The flavour has clear notes of sloe berries, but also of malt and a brief sweetness. If I were mad about sloe berries, I’m sure I would love this one.

Amber, with a moderate white head, nose of berry, flavor is light, with notes of tart apple, finish is mild, interesting beer.

fonefan (51064) - VestJylland, DENMARK - JAN 13, 2007
Bottle. Hazy light red / orange color with a average fair lacing off-white head. Aroma is fruity, berries. Flavor is moderate sweet and acidic, sloeberry, tart. Body is light to medium, texture is dry, carbonation is soft.

Jerre (3823) - Waregem, BELGIUM - NOV 11, 2006
Bottle, 33 cl. Peach - orangey golden, small white head. Sweet floral medical nose (heather), definitely candyish in nature. Light-medium bodied. Sweet aftertaste dry.

UPDATED: SEP 2, 2007 Bottle from Utobeer (rate from 24.06.06). Nice colour - almost opaque orange with creamy white head. Strong fruit aroma, which is hard to place - clearly my first encounter with a sloeberry. Texture is dense and syrupy. Taste is tart, sweet and sloeberry-ish. Almost identical to smell. Very dry. Resembles a lambic...a much stranger version. Not bad, but not my cuppa.

A Mes rate: Frothed like an Alka Seltzer when I poured it and settled almost immediately to the net result of zero. Not an impressive start. Apricot and orange in the nose. A little artificial and one dimensional. Cloudy orange appearance with a head that departed long long ago. Very very odd flavour. Tastes kinda like an Alka Seltzer too. Not really sure what to say. My judgement is totally clouded on this one. Beers should not remind me of a hangover remedy.
