Peach color with a honeycomb-like, white head. Subtle fruit and brettanomyces aroma, yeasty. Definite horseblanket character in the flavor. Very dry but there is quite a bit of viscosity as well. An unusual chalk texture is noted. Interesting but quite simple for the ingredients. Cornfield (5569) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - AUG 14, 2005
Going into this drink, I wasn’t sure what a sloeberry was... and now, for sanity’s sale, I don’t want to find out. It poured a hazy orange-like color filled with particles and topped by a creamy white head. The smell of the drink is furniture polish, a piercing lemon and chemical aroma. Alive in the mouth, it has a stinging, tart citric taste with a trace of malt and some flowery hops. Sticky hot finish. More of an interesting drink than an enjoyable one.TBone (17796) - Pori, FINLAND - JUL 27, 2005

Hazy reddish brown, small head. Lemony aroma. Medium-bodied. Sticky mouthfeel. A bit sweet with earthy notes like in some lambics. Sugary aftertaste with some sourness. Quite interesting and unique brew.
An unclear amber beer with a small white head. The aroma is primarily of sloe, but also of malt and hops, while the flavor is sweet malty with notes of both black currant and sloe. I think this is a nice fruit beer - I’ve had plenty of sloe snaps - but to put it in beer is new to me - and a good idea. ThomasE (5174) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JUN 1, 2005
Golden colour with a white head. Aroma and flavor has a sour apple note that makes this beer very hard too get down.

UPDATED: AUG 24, 2005 (on bottle)Dosen´t look good(unclear and light orange) dosn´t smell good(not if you don´t like old, wet walls and green apples, that is) but the flavour and mouthfeel was something else. The sloeberries binds your palate up real fast, only leaving little room for the spicy, pepperish, somewhat citric flavours to set through. Big fan - a bold citric and sweet taste in a 6% beer. Would be lovely for the summer. Frothy head atop a yellow body - totally yellow - until the end when it turns pink! Nice sweet-tart taste. Chock full of ingredients - I always get the feeling with Johan’s beers that he throws SO much material into them. Perfect tingly yet not too light feeling in the mouth. pilsnerrogge (2975) - Finspång, SWEDEN - FEB 18, 2005
Muddy orange, almost pink colour. Big white head. Sourish sloe aroma. Lively but thin mouth-feel. More sourish sloe in the flavour. The first few sips are o.k. but after awhile it gets just too much.
