Heller, leicht süßlich pappiger Antrunk. Etwas Kleber, was sowohl im Geruch als auch im Geschmack durchkommt. Leicht herb, kaum Nachgeschmack. Okay. 7/7/6/7//6 BeerandBlues2 (13317) - Escondido, California, USA - FEB 23, 2017
Bottle shared by Travlr. Pours clear gold with a small, frothy white head, short retention and no lacing. Aroma is sweet grainy Pils malt and corn adjuncts. Flavor is bland corny and grainy Pils malt, faint earthy hops and a dry finish. Light body and carbonation. Travlr (24759) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - DEC 24, 2016
Bottle courtesy of Erzengel, many thanks! Clear golden color. Papery wet cardboard aroma. Taste is lemon and subtle black pepper. Inoffensive. kevnic2008 (12002) - Baden-Baden, GERMANY - AUG 5, 2016
Many thanks for this beer to Beerhunter111. Pours a pale golden color. Aroma is weak and seems a little sweet with little malt baking or hops. Erzengel (8743) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - JUL 31, 2016
Many thanks to Beerhunter111 for sharing! Country #159! Grainy metallic nose. The beer itself starts malty-metallic. Easy to drink, not too deep and a bit stale metallic. Hints of grain, smooth, malty with a grainy malty aftertaste with minimal bitterness. Not too bad.

Green big bottle. Pours clear pale golden colour with a mid-sized most good lasting white head. Aroma of grainy pale malt, cereals, mild metallic hops. Taste of grainy pale malt, cereals, very mild hops, watery, very easy to drink! Moravius (1290) - Pyongyang, NORTH KOREA - SEP 21, 2015
UPDATED: AUG 9, 2016 Bottle (대동강맥주 2, 620 ml) from Potonggang Department Store, Pyongyang. - The name "black label“ is a bit misleading - the label is actually the same as the Taedonggang "green label“’s, the only difference being the small circle with the „2“ which has a black background, not a green one as it is the case with the other beer. - Deep golden, nearly amber, good head. Aroma of caramel, biscuits and some rough hops which remind me of some cheap German supermarket Pilsener. Taste is a bit empty, with pronounced residual sweetness and blunt hops with notes of wet leaves. Medium carbonation, slightly salty mouthfeel. Rather sweet aftertaste with rough bitterness but without nice hop aromas. PMgep (280) - Lund, SWEDEN - JUL 24, 2015
Gift from CC, thank you! Great to try north Korea, but to be honest, this taste like most other south east Asian beer. Corns, no hops and bland. MrBlueSky93 (524) - Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, ENGLAND - FEB 14, 2015
Bottles from most places across the DPRK. Probably the most common beer I saw whilst touring around there.
Golden in colour, decent 2 fingered head. Corny aroma with malts and some grass. Corny start, then some light malts and a crisp, grassy finish, some honey sweetness in there too. Nice! JohnRMurdoch (4869) - Glasgow, SCOTLAND - JUN 19, 2013
640ml bottle in North Korea. The commonest North Korean Beer. Golden amber, reasonable head. Corn malt aroma & flavour. Bitter sweet aftertaste. Decent lager.
