Draught at brewery. Big tropical fruit notes in this really nicely hopped IPA. Pineapple lingers. Excellent.

on tap @ Taft’s Ale House / Cincinnati OH --- Clear light amber color, white head cover, bands of lace. Taste is crisp fizzy malt that moves through the swallow to clean, drying, floral hops in a medium-length finish. A superb food beer. Well done.

Draft pour at the source. The beer is a clear copper with a white head of foam. Splotchy lacing. The aroma has lots of tropical fruits, pineapple, and mango. The taste is nicely sweet and finishes a little dry. Good beer. Medium body and medium carbonation.

Draft to taster at Taft’s. Pours a clear golden color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor have dank, earthy, grapefruit citrus hops, pale toasted malts, a splash of caramel, moderate bitterness, hints of orange and lemon, but this is more earthy which is good. I am a fan. Pete should be in the HOF or they should get rid of it.

Draft at the brewery’s downstairs bar, Nellie’s. Pours a barely cloudy gold with a small barely off-white head that laces the glass while leaving a film and ring. Aroma of lemon zest, grass, sweet and pale malts, straw, and tangerine. Flavor of tangerine, pineapple, pale and sweet malts, dry grains, light spice and herbs, and florals at the finish. Light-bodied, with medium carbonation and a clean mouthfeel with just the right amount of bitterness. Nice, bright IPA.

Taster at brewery - nose is more cat urine. Sip is seeeter than the nose would suggest. Resin and maybe pine. Nice bitter finish.

Pint on tap at the brewpub. Massive citra and mosaic aroma up front and all throughout, on the same level as the IPL. Clear golden orange color. Thin off-white head. Leaves great thicker lace. Great big citrusy, peppery hop, some tropical. Mild sweet caramel and bready malt, kind of biscuity -- mostly just big punchy resiny citrusy spicy hop. Moderate sweet taste, lighter bitterness. Medium-bigger body. Smooth, kind of soft lighter carbonation. Very solid IPA -- on the sweeter side overall, but no shortage of late-stage hop here. Good balance -- would be an excellent IPA for food (like many of the beers here are).

Tap. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy off-white head that lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate citrus hop and earthy aroma. Medium to full body with a oily slick texture with soft carbonation. Moderate to heavy bittersweet flavor with a moderate to heavy bittersweet finish of medium to long duration. Very good brew.

Hop aroma of Mosiac with a twinge of Citra, citrusy. Golden yellow color with a slight chill haze. Lightly malty with more of the hops coming through than the malt. More Mosiac than Citra hop flavor and I prefer that since I’m not a Citra fan. Moderate bitterness, very sessionable. Medium body, smooth, good mouth feel, slightly oily. Very good... Better than the Gavel Banger IPA, but not as good as the Rookwood Mosiac.
