Smoked amber. Kinda like the session strength of my 10k beer (smoked barleywine). 12 ounce can from Belmont Party Supply. Clear amber, large foamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of smoke, toffee, and a tinny note. The taste is caramel, cherries, toast, mild smoke. Medium bodied, crisp. Solid. Brigadier (3805) - Chagrin Falls, Ohio, USA - NOV 30, 2017

A fine amber fares slightly better than the seasonal Fanfare. It's still not exciting enough for me to want much more than a half pint however. Ask for a sampler to see if you feel differently. It's at least worth a small sample to decide.
Aroma / Appearance - A deep mahogany body glows with an inner warmth. Black cherry pits, roasted malts, and creamy textures hang in the air with the feel of an early morning fog.
Flavor / Palate - Burnt cherry pits, ashen wood, and dark fruits warm the throat. The sticky mouthfeel yields to a dry finish which tastes a bit like oversteeped tea. There's nothing remarkable about this yet it gets the job done in its own time.
Appearance: Dark Rose copper. Hazy. Thin ring of white bubbles
Nose: medium roasted caramel malt forward. Hint of smoke. Light bitter. Light sweetness
Taste: Similar to the nose. Lightly sweet caramel malt at the fore. Hints of smoke and a light bitter herbal hoppiness that lasts through the finish
Body: Medium and lightly carbonated. Softer
Parting thoughts: A very well done smoked amber ale. Delicious. Just the right amount of smoke.

Taps clear amber with a nice and persistent beige head. Aroma offers lightly toasted malt, caramel and cinnamon candy tones plus just a snip of hops. Flavor delivers resiny hops, toasted malt, cinnamon and caramel tones, and more than a hint of cherry. Mouthfeel features firm body and good fizz. Cheers to cherries! bytemesis (9625) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - APR 17, 2017
Tap. Pours clear reddish Amber, small beige head, dissipates slowly, nice lacing. Aroma is quite light, hints of smoke, caramel, roasted malt. Flavors is medium sweet, light bitter, hints of smoke are a pleasant accent. Medium body, super soft and silky mouthfeel. Excellent for a non-ira amber ale.

Twice havr had this at the brewery, apparently I like it. Dark copper color. Maybe essence of Cherrywood but not really there. But a very nicely malty amber, light fruity touches. Slight carbonation tingle. Very quaffable but malty and my kind of amber. hopdog (13315) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 21, 2016

Sample at the brewpub. Clear amber color with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily to a film. Stringy lacing. Aroma of roast malt, caramel and slight hops. Medium body with flavors of smoked malt, caramel and a touch of wood. The finish is sweet with a charred malt aftertaste. Decent overall.
