Very unusual. A stout but very sour. Not bad, difficult to know how to categorise it. Dark brown, thin head.

Bottle from Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours very dark brown with a slight dark tan heaed. Aroma is sour dark malt - brett notes. Med + body. Flavor is sour dark malt, some not too dark fruit, and a firm bretty sourishness. Lots of wood; astringent oak. Maybe some red berry residuals; not really finding whiskey. It’s earthy, yummy stuff.

Bottle from Capitol Beer & Tap Room. Pours dark brown with a large tan head and a sour plum aroma. There is a rich dark molasses flavor with a lot of Brett and oak and a tart finish. Very tasty.

500ml bottle pours a black color with a lot of frothy brown head. Slightly sour plum fruit balance nicely against the oak and malt. Delicious.
