PhillyCraft (8010) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 17, 2016
Bottle, pours black with not a whole lot of head. Light lacing if any. Notes of strong cognac, booze, dark chocolate, syrup and fruit. Body is def on the fuller side. This one was too big and boozy for me. Percent wasn’t well hidden.

Really like the aroma from this dark beer. Oak, sherry, coffee, and chocolate. Flavors are plums and cherries followed by unsweetened cocoa. Light sweetness in the finish.

Bottle via craftshack. Pours a deep pitch black body with no head or lacing. Mouthfeel is thick and full bodied with notes of melted brownie, sweet chocolate, rich oak and bourbon. Not overly sweet or cloying at all. No distracting alcohol off-flavors. Great imperial stout!

slowrunner77 (13006) - Reno, Nevada, USA - DEC 10, 2015
solid brew, though not in the elite class for this style. Sweet and heavy. Use of barreling is a little heavy but not so much that you don’t get layers of flavor from both the beer and the booze.

hopdog (13102) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 28, 2015
Bottle. Had this with the Brett Imperial stout and the Brett version a lot better. Poured a dark brown color with an off white head. Dark fruits, chocolate, caramel, and molasses. Some wood and lighter bourbon.

Bottle thanks to Russell. Pours a very dark brown with small beige head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is strong cognac, wood, vanilla, roast. Thick mouth, strong bourbon, wood, vanila, roast, dark chocolate, ash, bitter finish, very good.

Black pour from 16oz bottle at Lakehouse. Very rich, strong and bourbon flavored. Almost too much. Boozy. Still enjoyable.
