Pours a dark brown with a reddish tan head. Rich coconut and chocolate nose. Coating and thick. Sweet. Sorghum, a bit of cola, figgy fruitiness, and coconut.

Bottle from CraftShack shared at Frankís December 19th, 2015 tasting. Pours a deep, murky brown body with thin lacing. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with notes of caramel candies, melted chocolate, oak and bourbon. Solid.

Bottle care of that son of a bitch Dad. Pours black, notes of caramel sugar, dark fruit and chocolate. Toffee, bourbon and oak as she warms. Medium bodied. Nice

Bottle. The liquid is dark brown, nearly black at the center. Next to zero head even with a vigorous pour. It looks heavy and a bit slick. The aroma has a big, rich sweet malt character. Thereís a whole bunch of brown sugar, molasses and sweet dough. Very nice barrel character, adding vanilla, coconut and some oak. Good bourbon flavors. Itís a mix of sweet bourbon and deep malty flavors. Taste has some booze heat, but itís pleasant and warming in this beer. It doesnít quite live up to the layered sweetness of the aroma, but itís still quite good. More oakiness. Thereís a light vinous character, almost brandy-ish. Lots of toasty malt sweetness. Not cloying at all - if anything, they could have dialed up the residual sugars just a touch more. Mouthfeel is smooth, silky and a bit oily. Itís a sweet sipping beer. Surprisingly well done. I think that this is comparable to some much more hyped barrel aged beers from other breweries. The bottle price was pretty high, but Iím happy with this one.

Bottle sample courtesy of "hannont". Colour...nearly black with a thin tan head. Nose...boozy, oaky, burnt sugar, molasses. Palate...thick, dry, and brooding with booze and massive dark fruits. The mid palate is especially dry and the finish is long and raisiny.

Huge bourbon bomb reminiscent of Bruery beers. Toffee and wood and booze, malty and a bit hot for only 10%, but not to a fault. A big sweet sipper.

Looks a bit muddy with very little head. Smells of bourbon and treacle. Strange palate, not quite an ale, but not quite a porter. Initial taste is quite treacly, then the bourbon hits you! (K)

500ml bottle pours a hazy dark brown color without much head. Silky mouthfeel. Medium bourbon, but a good amount of malt and toffee to balance it. Noticeable alcohol at the end.

On tap @ Tahoe Mountain. Dark mahogany colored beer with a small tan head. Smells like bourbon and vanilla. A whole lot of caramel and brown sugar as well. A bit of maple syrup. A lot of sweet dark fruits on the tongue. A hint of spicy wood and some maple syrup to go along with the bourbon, vanilla, and perhaps chocolate. A touch of booze/heat on the finish, but good otherwise.
