Pour on tap, dark brownish black pour with tan head, aroma brought notes of cocoa, roast, some earth into a bit of dark fruit, some slight sweet fruits into a bit of lactose, touch of acidic malt. On tap @ Crow Bar. Black pour with a tan head. Roasty and lightly smokey on the nose. Some coffee, fruity cocoa powder, and tobacco. Interesting. The flavor is a bit on the bitter side and finishes slightly acidic. But, plenty of chocolate and coffee and roasted malts. Light smoke and almond character. Pretty nice overall. Not amazing, though.

On tap at Mikkeller Bar. It pours a super dark brown color with a dense nitro-like mocha head. Looks delicious. The aroma is equally inviting with chocolate covered espresso beans and hints of pumpernickel bread. The flavor is super creamy with cocoa, coffee, coffee creamer and light roast in the finish. Tap at the University of Beer in Davis, CA. Pours drk brown with a beige head. Aroma is chocolate. Near full bodied. Flavor is lots of chocolate, lots of something that’s like medium dark fruit (or treacle?). Pretty tasty, like a high ABV from a barrel.
