COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brett conditioned brown ale aged in wine barrels. Bayard - A horse with mysterious powers ridden by the 4 Brothers of Aymon in their revolt against Emperor Charlemagne in 12th Century France. Although Charglemagne prevailed and took Bayard, the horse later made a dramatic escape to live eternally in the forests of Belgium.

Bottle: night haze and some head.
The nose is certainly funky and sour but no VA. The is lactic, not just Bretty. Palate is sour but balanced.

Tap at SF Beer Week Opening Gala. Pours dark amber. Aroma: Strong wine barrel, some funk and dark fruit. Medium body, nicely sour, little tart, soft carbonation, grapes, full flavour. Lingering grape palate. Good.

Draft at Tivoli Brewing Tap House. Clear copper appearance with a lingering beige head. Aroma of barnyard funk, vinous notes, earth, caramel, fruit and light vanilla. Similar flavor, funky, fruity, mildly sweet and lightly tart with mild barrel notes. Medium body with a smooth, soft feel and a creamy finish, slightly puckering. Alittle thin. Pretty tasty overall.

Bottle, shared with Parksy. Dark brown, beige head, lacy tracings. Nice bready malts, a bit of chocolate, cherries, assertive vinous and funky character, tart woody finish. Nice.

Bottle shared at Ryan’s August 2016 tasting. Pours a murky brown body. Nose is soft sour character and some faint dark fruits. Mouthfeel is on the lighter side of medium bodied with notes of deep molasses, sour dark fruit, vinegar, soft roast and additional fruits. Another enjoyable offering from Tahoe Mountain.

Bottle care of Dad with some brats, pours an amber purple color. Notes of roasted vinegar, plum, vanilla cream, and other dark saison/sour notes. Some berries and other darker fruit as it warmed. Solid
