Bottle (07/28/2016 bottling). Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, fully lasting. Body is hazy medium yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly yeasty (cobwebs), with notes of peach/apricot, marmalade, oak. Flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, velvety/watery texture, lively carbonation.
Not as complex and polished as BFB’s apricot saison, and certainly more of a sour ale than that one too, but this is pretty solid nonetheless. The fruit is authentic smelling and while it’s the dominant aroma, it doesn’t overpower the nostrils; it’s soft and alluring. I wish the acidity was a little more assertive (or that it was a saison instead, and thus had less acidity and more bitterness), because the fruity sweetness ideally needs a little more to balance it. 500ml bottle @ Matt’s. Bottled 2016.07.28. Pours a hazy orange colour. Nose is subtle apricot, brett sour notes, and some oak. Flavour is a medley of white wine, light apricot, some tartness, fading to a semi dry oaky finish.

500mL bottle, pours a cloudy creamy peachy colour with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of creamy, sweet and tart peaches, light barnyard notes, and light vinous notes. Flavour is along the same lines, with a great mix of fruity, sweet peaches, oaky vinousness, and a perfect touch of brett. Complex, elegant and with no particular element standing above the others. Hazy tan. Has a nice, big, bright apricot nose. On the palate, sweet and with a fair bit of apricot. Has a light vinous note, sweet, with a touch of sharpness late in there as well. Bottle shared by my Dad, hazy orange gold shade. White grape sugar, sweet tarts, oak and light apricot. Notes of peach and apple skin as she opens up her butt. Really nice
