2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle. Weird smell. Bit stinky to be honest. Manure and artificial sweetness. Taste is very strange. Better, but not great still. Rice, booze, corn, sweetness, weirdness. Not a fan. Better drink this up quick...

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Didn’t realize this was a happoshu but it explains a lot. Sweet malt, no trace of hops, watery finish. Pretty empty and overpriced omiyage beer, avoid despite the cute logos.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Seems like this is an attempt by a micro brewer to make a real Japanese-style happoshu! It has less than 25% malt, plus unmalted barley, rice, sugar, and starch!
Clear, deep golden color with a small head. Faint aroma of malt and maybe rice. Slightly fruity; barely hoppy. Thin, watery malt flavor, a bit of fruit, quite sweet and slightly creamy. A touch of hops. OK. If this was ¥160, I would surely buy it in a pinch, as it does have a much better flavor and balance than regular happoshu—at least there are no really nasty flavors going on, and you can taste the malt. But, it cost like ¥500!!! Are they nuts? Why bother?
