Slight hop and malt aroma. Medium modied, crisp, mildly bitter with solvent like chemical taste that lingers in mouth after swollowing. At 99 cents for a 22oz bottle, it gets the job done. Cartoonkhaki (1280) - Brantford, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 30, 2002

I like the fact that this is honoured worldwide and I am the 29th person to rate this. I had it in Taipei which is only to say that the contents of the can were fresher than most. Nothing more to be said that itiis a lager that has rice as an adjunct, meaning more alcohol with less body and flavour. jsquire (4483) - St. Marys, Ohio, USA - OCT 23, 2004
So I got the can at Beers of the World. I hope it is a bottle conditioned can because I got a ton of floaties in here. The beer pours a murky golden with the floaties and a thin white head. Sweet yeasty nose of candi sugar and pears. The initial sensation is water, but there is a lot of funky sweetness in it. Spoiled orange juice, white sugar, copper penny and aluminum can. It does have an almost Belgian sweetness to it, but it just tastes clumsy. Engelsmann (651) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - SEP 26, 2005
Bottled. Pours a clear golden, with a white head. Aroma is malty and hoppy. Staste is sweet, with just a tad hoppy bitterness. A rather bland beer.

Thin. Little in the way of smell. Kind of sweet, I think. My negative opinion ould have something to do with the fact that I tried to bottom-open the can and it blew up all over me. BeerPrince (1701) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 10, 2003
Grainy flavour. Bitter aftertaste, with a light taste. Not a bad beer, better than I expected. mephisto (1288) - TAIWAN - MAR 4, 2005
UPDATED: JUL 26, 2005 ok, i am a taiwanese, so i’ll try to be as patriotic as i can be. this beer is ok, comes in a what i think is a pretty unique can. it’s not the best beer, but i think it kicks tsing-tao’s butt. taiwan 1:0 china IslandHaole (1268) - Misawa, JAPAN - APR 28, 2005
Bottle-Typical Asian Lager look, clear light/medium Gold. White head. Scent of wet cardboard, some sweetness. Vegetal, sweet, papery. Medium body, a lower end of the scale brew, even by Asian standards. Cornfield (5570) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - AUG 8, 2006
Bottle: Very pale yellow with a dinkus white head. Although not listed in the ingredients, I picked of a whiff of corn syrup sweetness in the faint aroma. Mayhaps a touch of floral hops. Not in the taste, though. It was more reminiscent of the aroma belched out from the Argo plant outside of the city (Chicago), corn byproducts, a hit of starch. It finishes on a watery, sweet note with a dash of metallica.
