Despite what others may think. My wife and I enjoy this beer very much, whether at an Indian restaurant or at home. MarkSachon (1023) - Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 1, 2013
Big bottle at Taj Mahal restaurant on McKnight road in Pittsburgh. Pours a transparent pale gold with a minimal frothing on top. A bit light on flavor but perfectly matched for Indian cuisine. Price on thebottle was around $9.00 ronaldtheriot (1934) - Laplace, Louisiana, USA - MAY 5, 2013
Taj Mahal has a thick, white head and a clear, bubbly, straw appearance, with some lacing left behind. The aroma is of sweet, bready, barley malt, and the taste is the same, with a predominate paperyness and some subdued hop bitterness to round it out. Mouthfeel is light and watery, and Taj Mahal finishes crisp, clean, and refreshing. Yes, this is really nice, and I score it as such. RJT HopTsing (575) - Sandston, Virginia, USA - MAY 11, 2012
From the bottle poured a lovely, clear, yellow brew with a generous white head. Faint aromas and flavors of malt and hops. Light bodied and tasty. I liked it a lot.Best served IMO COLD!. ordybill (1758) - Douglasville, Georgia, USA - SEP 2, 2014
This Indian Lager is a very good American styled lager beer. I bought it from a "Whole Foods" store in Marietta, GA and it traveled well from the brewery. No hint of skunkiness, a good crisp taste. A non-overpowering aroma and a pretty full body for a lager. I would definitely drink this again. I would compare it with the other well known Indian brew "Kingfisher", Interesting label to boot, not shiny and eclectic like many micro-brews but an old school label that did get me to notice it in the cooler.

330 ml bottle from Sobeys Liquor, served in a nonic pint glass. Pours a bright, clear straw yellow with light, fine carbonation and a pearly off-whitecap that crackles loudly but doesn’t disappear in a blink, leaving a few lace islands. Aroma is unsweetened cereals and dusty, herbal hops; flavor is moderately malty but without the sweetness of so many light lagers. I’m impressed! Did not expect that. Just a touch of sweet fruitiness in the sip that’s apple-like, but not acetaldehyde-y. Has a nice bit of body to it, and finishes cleanly. A very tasty and friendly lager I don’t have to fly to Bangalore to enjoy. Really nice! phillybass (116) - Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 22, 2017

Very true to the premium lager category. Smooth, malty corn flavors that finish well. Slight metallic notes that are not overwhelming. In general a good drinkable lager. brewhaha1 (13) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - JUL 7, 2012

Bottle at a local Indian Restaurant. Was hesitant to try this beer, as Pale Lagers are not among my favorite styles. But was pleasantly surprised, as i would have to rate this as the best tasting Pale Lager i’ve ever had. Sweet & delicious. Tastes like it’s made with honey. Am very surprised at all the low ratings...as this is a very drinkable, smooth brew with no bitterness or aftertaste.
