Just like those classic video games we all grew up with, 8-Bit Pale Ale is spectacularly simple at first glance yet remarkably fun and complex when you get into it. Our Hop Rocket infuses the character of Australian grown Galaxy Hops into an American Pale Ale, giving a unique tropical, almost melon aroma in a classic American style.

Pale clear bright copper like a fresh penny, under a rocky white head. The nose is pretty earthy and grassy with a little biscuity undertone. Pale flavor full of biscuity and pale malts, balanced by some earthy bitter grassy hops. The can says Galaxy hops, but it tastes more...German? English? Not very unique. However, quite clean and quaffable and slightly caramalty at the end. Not world changing by any means but it’s just kinda there. A god old fashioned craft American Pale Ale.

Can from Whole Foods in Little Rock, Arkansas. Pale yellow body, mild haze, small white collar that leaves a sheet of lacing on the glass. Light bodied, medium bitterness, citrus and pine, Breast malts. Decent.

B+ Pours a clear orange color with white head. Strong hop aroma. A little light on body

Aroma - pine hops. Appearance - the gold body is not hazed, but has fine particulates. The head is 2+" and white, and head slowly settles. Taste - has pine hops and crystal malt. Very well balanced. Classic example. Palate - medium body, a touch of oil, average carbonation, and bitter finish.

Can. Clear golden copper with a think off white head that lasts in a ring and laces some. Aromas of lemongrass, melon, pine, light spice, bread, and toasted malt. Flavor is the same with some light caramel notes. Light plus bodied, smooth with a dry, bitter end.

Can. Hazy golden body with a frothy white head, diminishing. Aroma of straw, grass, floral hops, light skunk. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Who put a pale lager in my can of pale ale? Unremarkable and thin in both flavor and aroma. And then there is the light skunkiness and earthy straw aroma.

Pours a hazy straw color. Lots of tiny floaters. Thin white head. Some lacing. Grainy earthy aroma. Taste mirrors aroma with a earthy hop flavor. Tastes a bit like dirty water.

Aroma of honey, tropical fruits, taste is sweet, light, crisp bite, short aftertaste, alcohol not present.

Rated on 02-22-2016 (Can-Drink by 05/14/16) The appearance is a medium sized white head that mostly diminished, yellow transparent body, fizzy, lively, fast rising carbonation, and spotty lacing. The aroma presents citrus hops, bitterness, grapefruit. tropical fruits, floral, herbal, earthy, light honey, and malt. The flavor presents moderate bitterness, citrus and piney hops, grapefruit, tropical fruits, earthy, grassy, and malt. The mouthfeel of this APA is moderate carbonation and this beer is medium bodied. A most drinkable APA that is crisp and refreshing. It has a lingering bitter aftertaste that is easy to deal with. A nicely brewed APA that is very tasty, worth trying and definitely a beer that I would partake in again.

Hazy, oily looking pale golden with a fairly tall eggshell head that hangs out a while and leaves some nice foamy clumps of lace around the glass. Nose involves light toasted malt, lemon/lime a la Sprite, some underlying zesty spice, some clean yeasty dough, light pineapple. Somewhat sweet, decently bitter. Lighter bodied, spritzy, somewhat oily, finishing dry with tropical fruit and woody earthy bitterness. A nice, refreshing pale ale that yearns for warm weather drinking. I’ve had punchier, but I like this. Understated, but drinkable.
