Poured into a pint glass. A good finger and half of tight head. Clear, golden colored ale. It smells a little like honey and musty hay. Not super appealing. The flavor starts slow and then builds up. Balanced bitter and malt at first, then the hops take over with a dull bitter taste at the end. Soft texture, low carbonation and medium body. Its a tasty treat.

hazy gold pour, two finger off white, creamy, slightly chunky head, pretty nice lacing. Aroma is citrus, a little passionfruit, limestone mineral, lemon peel, biscuit and a little grain. Flavor is caramel, biscuit, a touch of toffee, juicy orange and lemon citrus, a little passionfruit heavy tropical fruit, mineral notes and just a hint of pine to the finish. Medium body kinda juicy entry, medium, spritzy carbonation, dry, crisp, kinda chalky finish. Really tasty stuff, definitely one of those beer that Ive had a few times and I think I like it better now that Ive sat down and really critiqued it.

Can served in a glass, this ale was a clear medium orange in the glass, the pour made about a one finger white cover, it left spots and small fingers of lacing on the side of the glass, this drink had aromas of peach fruit, lemon and orange citrus hops, light toasted malt, a little bread, fruit and malt sweetness, the flavors were lemon and grapefruit hops, light orange and malt, a little malt and fruit sweetness, there was about a medium hop citrus bitterness that gave some dryness on the lips, this beer was creamy, it had a light mouth feel, and there was average carbonation, the nose had nice fruit notes, citrus fruit hops with light malt in the flavor, a nice pale ale.

A good lookin beer, pours a cloudy orange-amber, fine suspended particulate. Massive ivory head, Swiss cheese folding pattern, heavy lace. Aroma of citrus, grain, peach nectar, a trace of pepper. Nice feel to it, a touch on the creamy side with a little zest. Peach, sweet tropical fruit, a little resin with a malty shell. Very nice.

Appearance: clear deep gold with two fingers of loose ivory head diminishing gradually to a patchy skim, minimal lacing. (3/5) Aroma: lemon and grapefruit zest, pineapple, grainy pale malt, melon, grass. (7/10) Taste: moderate sweet, moderate-high bitter. (7/10) Palate: medium body, moderate carbonation, dry lingering emphatic bitter finish. (4/5) Pretty darned close to a hop forward A/IPA, if you ask me. Theres a hint of Galaxy hops in there, coming through as melon behind the citrus zest and tropical fruit notes, but overall hops emphatically dominate over malt. The real surprise, though, is the lingering bitter finish, far more emphatic than one might normally expect given the at most middling-high IBU rating. Subtle? No, but good fun. Best by 06/11/17. Pours filtered honey orange, off white head. Aroma is grass, lemon, pine, orange, grapefruit rind, lemongrass, lemondrop. Fairly lemongrass heavy. Clove, maybe melon. I know those dont go together, but here we are. Flavor is malty biscuit, lemon rind, spot of clove, very heavy aspirin astringency. Thats unfortunate. Wow, that heavy heavy bitter finish destroys this one. Its really pleasant up front, but that is horrendously bitter.

Tallboy can BB 04/28/17. Pours a slightly hazy, deep gold with a finger of foam. Light grassy nose with some pine and pineapple. Bit of yeast on the palate, dry with a light-ish body. Dry finish with some bitterness.

16 oz can. BB 08/18/16. Thanks Jere!
Cloudy golden color with a small white head. Sweetish fruity hops, moderate bitterness and some malt in the aroma. Quite fresh even if its 6 months past BB date. The flavor is pungent hops, candies, harsh bitterness and dryish malt.

Lots of hop flavor. Average aroma. Hop mix is excellent. Their $1.99 per 12 ounce can is competitive in MI.
