4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
When the can is sweating and the the sun is high, this beer puts everything at ease.
Pours a nice gold copper color in the glass. Definite floral citrus aroma. Oily citrus notes on the palate. Graprfruit, lemon and orange peel dominate the aftertaste. Overall, a solid brew... ozzy70 (1148) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - JUN 23, 2017
Sample from can at the Omaha Beer Fest 2017. Poured murky golden with a white head. Aroma was earthy pine, grapefruit. Taste was bitter, fruit rind, lasting bitter finish. Iphonephan (6984) - Jackson Hole/McLean, Virginia, USA - JUN 11, 2017
From a 12 oz can. Pours a clear copper with a thick off white head. Aroma of melon and hay. Flavors of citrus and pine. Moderately bitter finish. Onslow (1495) - Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA - MAY 20, 2017
Pour from a 12oz can. Medium amber/orange brew with one finger of head upon pouring, small head after it settles. Good lacing. Really fine aroma of resin, sweet fruit, green fruit, floral hops and mild caramel notes. Taste is moderate malt up front with some caramel notes, resin quickly emerging and persisting through the middle, ending with more resin and a subdued flourish of mild fruit notes. A really solid APA, totally enjoyable. UDBeernut (2883) - Saint Johns, Florida, USA - MAY 3, 2017

hazy gold pour, two finger off white, creamy, slightly chunky head, pretty nice lacing. Aroma is citrus, a little passionfruit, limestone mineral, lemon peel, biscuit and a little grain. Flavor is caramel, biscuit, a touch of toffee, juicy orange and lemon citrus, a little passionfruit heavy tropical fruit, mineral notes and just a hint of pine to the finish. Medium body kinda juicy entry, medium, spritzy carbonation, dry, crisp, kinda chalky finish. Really tasty stuff, definitely one of those beer that I’ve had a few times and I think I like it better now that I’ve sat down and really critiqued it. BigBeer45 (1531) - Michigan, USA - APR 24, 2017
Can served in a glass,
this ale was a clear medium orange in the glass, the pour made about a one finger white cover,
it left spots and small fingers of lacing on the side of the glass,
this drink had aromas of peach fruit, lemon and orange citrus hops, light toasted malt, a little bread, fruit and malt sweetness,
the flavors were lemon and grapefruit hops, light orange and malt, a little malt and fruit sweetness,
there was about a medium hop citrus bitterness that gave some dryness on the lips,
this beer was creamy, it had a light mouth feel, and there was average carbonation,
the nose had nice fruit notes,
citrus fruit hops with light malt in the flavor, a nice pale ale. Andrew196 (1902) - Katy, Texas, USA - APR 6, 2017
A good lookin beer, pours a cloudy orange-amber, fine suspended particulate. Massive ivory head, Swiss cheese folding pattern, heavy lace. Aroma of citrus, grain, peach nectar, a trace of pepper. Nice feel to it, a touch on the creamy side with a little zest. Peach, sweet tropical fruit, a little resin with a malty shell. Very nice. UXO (1896) - CANADA - MAR 21, 2017
Appearance: clear deep gold with two fingers of loose ivory head diminishing gradually to a patchy skim, minimal lacing. (3/5) Aroma: lemon and grapefruit zest, pineapple, grainy pale malt, melon, grass. (7/10) Taste: moderate sweet, moderate-high bitter. (7/10) Palate: medium body, moderate carbonation, dry lingering emphatic bitter finish. (4/5)
Pretty darned close to a hop forward A/IPA, if you ask me. There’s a hint of Galaxy hops in there, coming through as melon behind the citrus zest and tropical fruit notes, but overall hops emphatically dominate over malt. The real surprise, though, is the lingering bitter finish, far more emphatic than one might normally expect given the at most middling-high IBU rating. Subtle? No, but good fun. (14/20)

A: Poured a huge thick beige head atop pale orange gold with busy bubbles of different sizes. Dogged retention and thick lacing.
S: Crisp bread with orange flesh and zest. Slight sweet tropical note of maybe pineapple.
T: Pine hits first with very bitter grapefruit pith following. Faint tropical fruit and wood finish.
M: Light to medium weight with crisp carbonation, sticky finish.
O: Pretty good overall. Thick with hops. Similar to Ripper but tastier.
