Just like those classic video games we all grew up with, 8-Bit Pale Ale is spectacularly simple at first glance yet remarkably fun and complex when you get into it. Our Hop Rocket infuses the character of Australian grown Galaxy Hops into an American Pale Ale, giving a unique tropical, almost melon aroma in a classic American style.

I love the 8 bit as a clean staple. It can is a great introduction of a "real beer" for my less sophisticated friends and the fun name gets them interested. Not much aroma but it pours smooth and taste great with a decent compromise of bitter and fresh.

Can to glass. Pours a clear copper-gold with massive white head and plenty of patterns down. Melon aroma is assertive and solid. Flavor is more herbal.

Pint can from Keg Liquors; drink by date of 1/30/17. Aroma: Moderate citrus with melon and punch bowl-like fruit in near balance; a lesser caramel malt backing stays predictably subtle. Appearance: Somewhat hazy orange body with healthy carbonation holding up a sticky off-white head that settles into a skin. Flavor: Hops take a floral turn at the start, letting in more caramel than expected; melon/citrus like hop notes come up more towards the finish, which is lightly bitter. Palate: Medium body, creamy texture, lively carbonation, bitter finish. Overall: Lots of good things about this APA; I just wish that the fruitiness of the nose couldve translated to the flavor more.

Can. Very slightly hazy pale amber with a big frothy white head with a fair amount of webby lacing. Aroma of citrus peel, grain, and sweetbreads. Tastes grainy and slightly fruity and quite bitter. Medium bodied and very crisp.

A lot of thistle in aroma and flavor. Golden with a meringue head, in appearance that is. I want to love and hate this beer at the same time. The flavors are heavy in fruity esters. The esters are so thick you could love or hate it. Toys. Nostalgia.
