On tap at Scotty's in Champaign. Hazy yellow appearance with a white head. Smells like blueberry pancakes. Fairly tart. The lactic notes come through far more in flavor than the nose. A little light. Not fucken bad.

This beer is a slightly hazy dark golden color with a medium white head that evaporates steadily to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of tart berry, yeast and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of blueberry, wheat, yeast and doughy malt. The finish is mildly tart with a blueberry aftertaste. Decent overall.

Poured a golden color from the can with aromas of blueberry fields, light wheat, a touch of musk. Flavors are the same, light blueberry pancakes, with some tartness. Light dried blueberries, decent overall.

Tallgrass has put out some really nice fruit-infused ales recently, and Blueberry Jam is yet another fine example. Blueberry Jam does look like a Berliner Weisse with its lively golden pour. Really, that's where the touchstones for the style come to an end. With its malt and fruit aromatics, this beer is evocative of blueberry pancakes. Flavor has more the jam influence with sweet, syrupy berries and a light tartness. While it's tricky to identify this brew as Weisse, it sure is a tasty and easygoing fruit beer.

A tasty Berliner weisse and very aggressive blueberry. Aroma and aftertaste in particular, though there is a nice sour lemon character to balance out the sweetness.
