COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We often hear from fans who swore they’d never enjoy a stout — until they tried Buffalo Sweat. Some have described its rich taste, creamy mouthfeel and sweet, lingering finish as liquid chocolate chip cookies made with espresso. If you only try one dark beer in your life, Buffalo Sweat will change your entire perception of how a stout should taste.

Pours very dark brown with a tan head. Aroma chocolate, coffee and pipe tobacco. Taste follows nose and for some reason it reminds me of johnnie walker black label. Pretty good but a little thin for my tastes.

Can. Pours opaque brown-black with a large creamy brown head that dissipates with nice lacing. Aroma is roasted malt, coffee and dark chocolate. Flavor is medium sweet roasted malts, molasses, coffee and chocolate. Finish is very lightly bitter. Semi-rich on the palate. Best beer I have had from a can in a while.

Black 2 finger head receding to a thicker than average thin head.Lacing. Nose is chocolatate malt a little roast espresso some blackberry, and some little hop notes more as it warms, smells tastey. Taste mirrors aroama with good body at first with a chocolate mild roast light espresso, the finish is light almost thinand lets you know its 5% but the roast sticks through with a mild bittering.Theres some mild hop flavor towards the end also. A very good tasting stout.

First had it on tap at Doolittles in Eagan. Ask the bartender what that was he described it as a Guiness but not as hoppy. Had a great pour and the aroma was toasty and dark cola color. I was suprise how smooth it was and not too hoppy. Real refreshing. So good I bought the kit at Northern Brewer and brewed it.

Can at home. Pour is deep opaque brown with a small tan head, with decent lacing. Aroma is leather, tar, bread, light roast, and oatmeal. Taste is much the same, but a lot sweeter. Flavors of tar, dark fruits, light char, bready, and somewhat watered-down. Light body with soft carbonation. Meh.

Lots of coffee flavor and aroma. Very creamy tan head. Very dark color. Delicious breakfast stout in the opinion of someone who does not much care for breakfast stouts.
