Serving glass: Poured from can into Nonic Imperial Pint.
Appearance: Ruby black with thin tan head and spotty lacing.
Aroma: Sweet molasses, roasted malt and milk chocolate. Smells decadent and rich, especially at first.
Taste: Nice semi-sweet mix of chocolate, molasses, roasted malt and licorice. Minimal bitterness - while the smooth, rounded malts are appreciated, a little hop balance or extra roasted bite could have helped.
Palate: Low carbonation, smooth body that is fairly light. Too thin.
Overall: A solid, malty and drinkable Sweet Stout. Good session beer overall, even if there is no "wow" factor. Probably would be better with a slightly bigger body and a touch more bitterness. gsmitty80 (2130) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 1, 2011
Nice sweet stout that doesn’t have too much alcohol. Good bit of body and nice head. Pretty enjoyable. crossovert (12879) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 24, 2011
It is a pretty tasty little brew. It goes down really smoothly, nice cocoa and caramel flavors with some coffee. wilnatp (692) - Minnesota, USA - AUG 24, 2011
Bottle. Pour is dark. Nose of roast and coffee. Taste is mild sweetness but a bit thin. Smooth. Sessionable dark beer. mattyb83 (737) - Minnesota, USA - AUG 22, 2011
Can. Pour is deep brown with a small khaki head. Slight roasted malt character, chocolate, and some sweet cream. Sweet flavors and slightly sugary. Dark chocolate, cream, a hint of gas station coffee (my fav). Medium body. Maybe a tad thin. Pretty solid.

Can at Oliver Twist.
Aroma domiated by coffe. Taste of coffe and chocolate, finishes rather quick and thin.
Like a smoother porter. hirigalzkar (3158) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - AUG 12, 2011
Can. Very elegant porter-like stout. Notes of coffee beans, toffee and milk chocolate. Not the most aggressive stout. The dryness in the aftertaste is quite heavy though. Well balnced and refreshing. ryanfolty (2545) - Bourbon County, Minnesota, USA - AUG 11, 2011
Date: August 10, 2011 Mode: Draft Source: Grandma’s Sports Garden, Duluth, MN Appearance: Opaque dark brown with no head. Aroma: Strong coffee. Flavor: Consistent with aroma, smooth, light bodied and a little watery. Other: Not a big fan, seemed like more of a porter than stout.

Draught. Pours dark brown with a light brown head. Smells roasty and nutty with some spicy undertones. Tastes of roasted malt with some earthy peppery hints on the finish. Elwood (3336) - Leesburg, Virginia, USA - AUG 7, 2011
Draft at Vintage 51. Pours black with a creamy tan head. Very roasty coffee nose for a sweet stout. The flavor carries over to the taste. Roasty with a little creaminess, but dry and slightly flinty on the back end. More of a sweet stout dry stout cross. Not bad and drinkable.
