Pint can. Opaque ebony with a lasting thin covering of foam. Nose is nearly charred grain, dusty grain, and old coffee. Tastes of semi-sweet chocolate, dark roast coffee, caramel, lightly tart berry and bitterish green herb. Near-medium body has a medium-high but mostly smooth carbonation. Nice balance and pretty drinkable. kathouse (1914) - LAS VEGAS, Nevada, USA - JUL 4, 2015
Deep in color with just some red edges. Medium mouthfeel reminds me of an Irish but with some more body. Light finish I would not characterize as sweet but still tasty. youdictategood (467) - Florida, USA - JUL 1, 2015
Can to glass. Pours a glassy brown with a small, quickly disappearing khaki head. Aroma is primary vanilla and coffee. Taste is similar, with a little less sweetness than the aroma. Good example of the style. Reynolds314 (3462) - Connecticut, USA - JUN 21, 2015
pint can poured into tulip glass. Murky brown color with tan head. ARoma is caramel, cola, light coffee and earthy. Taste is a bit boring without any real flaws just kind of 2009.

Can. Pours brown with small beige head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is bready malt and roast. Medium mouth, strong roast, cocoa, light dryness, good. jkwood04 (5452) - Connecticut, USA - JUN 1, 2015
Big can in a tulip. Pours dark brown with a beige head. Aroma of lightly roasted malts, light chocolate, some hints of hops, and some dough. Flavor the same with a decent blend. Average texture. Not bad but not great. ajnepple (6706) - Denver, Colorado, USA - MAY 31, 2015
On tap at Boonie’s on the Avenue. Black appearance with a tan head. Aroma of vanilla, chocolate, roasted malt and light caramel/toffee. Similar flavor, pretty sweet with a light earthy bitterness. Medium body with a smooth creamy feel. A little too sweet for my liking but still pretty good. vipinvelp (4473) - Velp, NETHERLANDS - MAY 17, 2015
Clear dark ruby, no foam left (initial light brown), no lacing. Coffee aroma and taste, perfect for after dinner. (New Orleans 201505) basaywhat (288) - Macomb, Illinois, USA - APR 11, 2015
