500mL can, pours black with a medium beige head. Aroma brings out oats, cocoa and a little roast. Flavour brings out notes of mint chocolate, oats and a little roast. Not especially complex, with a medium sweet finish. Thin body for the style, with an almost tangy menthol finish. Meh. chrisv10 (18234) - DENMARK - JUN 23, 2012

Can. A dark brown beer, clear looking and topped by a small, beige head. Roasted nose with a little choclate and coffee. A bit one dimensional, but nice anyway. That goes for the flavor too, a bit one tracked, but pleasant. Roasted malts, some nuts and a coffee touch. Full-bodied, smooth and semi-dry. Lasting roasted finish. It’s not often I’m this pleased with a beer this one dimensional. 120623 brokensail (16633) - Dublin, California, USA - MAR 3, 2010
A: The pour is a dark brown color with thick tan colored foam. Pretty standard appearance, here.
S: The nose has a touch of burnt malt, with a very bready base aroma. There is a slight sweetness, which would make sense for the style.
T: The flavor is almost identical to the nose. The burnt flavor is a bit less obvious with the breadiness coming through even more and just a touch of sweetness.
M: The body is medium with a somewhat low level of carbonation, providing a smooth mouthfeel.
D: It’s easy to drink, but I do not think I’d really want to have this one again. That said, it gets bonus points for a very creative name. bhensonb (15621) - Woodland, California, USA - NOV 4, 2010
Can from Wine & Cheese in Clayton, MO. Pours very dark brown with a tan foamy head. Smells like sweet mocha. Med body with creamy carb. Sweet it is. With a lot of dark burnt malt and chocolate. Touch of coffee. And it’s fairly bitter with time. Finish is pleasantly gruchy. Nice drink.
