(Sample Date: 3/19/2011 Source:Butters) Chocolate with hints of vanilla and a vegetal or nutty quality. Clear dark amber brown with little head. Medium to light body with medium mouthfeel with a lactic sweetness. Lightly nutty with little hop flavor. Medium finish. Nice Lagunitasfan (1323) - San Diego, California, USA - MAY 20, 2011
I believe this is another tick of a box fulla ticks sent by the incomparable Jzzbassman. Dark brown with orange tints. Light tan head that poof, is gone to thick lace. Nose is malty, brown sugar and dark fruit sweet. Caramel and coffee. Alcohol hints. Taste is big candy sweet and milky back. Really nice. High sugar in the mouth. Lots of roastiness, but sweet prevails. Nice sweet stout. UncleKorm (1319) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - MAR 9, 2014
Can poured a clear dark brown w/ enormous fizzy fully diminishing tan head. Mild roast aroma. Initial flavor is moderate sweet w/ a faint bitter finish of short duration. Tastes are roasted malt, and light breakfast coffee. Medium bodied, lively carbonation, and watery mouthfeel. dwaggs2 (1297) - Jefferson City, Missouri, USA - APR 30, 2010
Tap. Poured a dark black color with a smaller tam head. Aroma was creamy, roasted malts and coffee. Flavor was sweeter with roasted malts, coffee, chocolate, and burnt notes comoing through. A good beer. Decent beer. Guerde (1297) - Leuven, BELGIUM - FEB 8, 2011
(can) Pours a dark brownish black with a very scant tan head. Aroma has coconut, roasted malt, chocolate, and cookie dough. Basically smells like a macaroon. Flavor has plenty of dark chocolate, roasted malt, and toasted nuts and coconut. Long and lingering sweet lightly roasted finish. Mouthfeel is regrettably thin and the carbonation is somewhat high which detracts a bit from the experience. Overall a simple, yet well executed beer that would serve as a great session beer.

1 Pint Can. Poured dark brown, with a huge tan head that dissipated quickly leaving spotty lacing all over the glass. Aroma of malts, roast notes, coffee and maybe a hint of vanilla. Taste is sweet, malty, some coffee, vanilla, very complex very well balanced. This is a very solid stout, very easy to drink. arnold931 (1263) - Iowa, USA - MAY 5, 2014
Can. Pours cola colored with large bubbly head that leaves in a hurry. Nose is chocolate, caramel. Taste adds some coffee. My only complaint is the watery mouthfeel. wnoble (1251) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - DEC 28, 2013
Almost poured brown. had some light brown head. Nose is toasty roasty and bready with some chocolates and a touch of earthy hops. Flavor is toasty malts, light smokey malts, chocolates, breads, and medium toffee flavors. Medium body. really full of flavor. magsinva (1250) - Virginia, USA - MAY 16, 2011
tap - pours dark with a khaki head that fades to white. Smoky coffee and chocolate. Bittersweet leaning towards sweet. Medium weight. Overall its nice, I’d get it again. bvc (1242) - Washington, USA - FEB 25, 2011
16oz tall boy can, thanks Tim! Love the name and label on this. Quite a bit of coffee on the nose, roasty nuts, hints of ash, light creamy sweet milk. Really light easy drinking body. All the flavors of the nose but really light, balanced and easy to drink...lightly sweet and creamy through the finish.
