16oz can. Pours midnight black with a finger light tan head. The nose is light roast, mild coffee and chocolate. The taste is ashy cocoa, roasty malt, light molasses and light roast coffee. Nice semi-creamy mouthfeel. Best I’ve had from this brewery to date. JHeath99 (1680) - Warner Robins, Georgia, USA - NOV 21, 2014
Can. Pours an opaque dark brown with a layer of tan head. Aroma and taste of oatmeal and roasted malts. drowland (9184) - Georgia, USA - FEB 6, 2015
16oz can at Brent’s going away tasting, July 2014. Black pour with a nice tan head, great lacing. Nice aroma, pleasantly sweet milk chocolate, some roast, a cream/marshmallow sense. Good flavor, creamy, milk chocolate, some roast, caramel, toffee. Not bad. tnkw01 (1854) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - NOV 13, 2015
Can. Dark brown with a small yet creamy head. Aroma was chocolate mocha and toast. Taste was mocha, dark roasted grains and a slightly sweet upfront flavor and a burnt toast bitter finish. jrob21 (3876) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - JAN 29, 2016
16 oz can from a recent trade. Decent toasty malt flavor. Smooth and creamy. A little thin but nice flavor. Just needs a little more body.

16 oz can to pint. Looks good; a translucent darker cola with foamy beige head. Smells of datk malt, chocolate, chocolate, oats, and mild roast. Tastes like it smells, minus the roast, with a sweeter medium-bodied mouthfeel that finishes with a touch of bitterness. Enjoyable, but a little sweet to be sessionable. chucklemation (1796) - Royal Oak, Michigan, USA - APR 11, 2016
Pours a dark brown with a long-lasting tan foam head. Aroma is burnt toasted malts, chocolate, and some roast. Flavor is toasted malts, chocolate, and a sweetness from the cream sugar. Body is a bit flat, a bit thin. Pretty enjoyable, and with a name like Buffalo Sweat, this is a must try. Pawola22 (3262) - Woodridge, Illinois, USA - NOV 16, 2009
12oz bottle. Pours a black body with a thin, creamy, brown head that dissipates quickly and leaves a moderate lacing. Aroma is quite nice actually. Lots of rich and sweet milk chocolates, some caramel and creamy roasts, and a light coffee and cream. Flavor is sweeter milk chocolate up front with a bit of a watery metal. A mildly sweet caramel comes in during the middle before it finishes with a slightly astringent coffee, lightly smoked tobacco roast flavor along with the sweeter chocolates and caramel. Dry with a medium, slick body. Overall, not a bad sweet stout at all. A pleasant surprise from Tallgrass. I’ve only had a few of their beers, but this is my favorite so far. Bottled. Poured deep brown with a fine cap of tan head. The aroma was on the sweet and lightly roasty side, with milk chocolate and heavy cream leading.. a hint of sour charred black malts on the back.. sweet and desserty. The flavor found sweet chocolates and lesser vanilla at the core with milky sugars laced throughout.. touches of coffee and molasses on the edges.. finished with sweet milk chocolates and butter cream. Light-medium bodied and very sweet on the palate.. smooth flow across the palate with complementary lactose-like tanginess on the back. This was very, very drinkable. milljam (682) - Norman, Oklahoma, USA - FEB 27, 2010
Aroma is very roasted with notes of espresso/dark coffee and an underlying sweetness. Flavor is less pronounced, with notes of coffee, espresso, sugar and malt. Mouthfeel is thin but maintains some creamy component. Not a bad sweet stout overall, but nothing that really stands out.
