Starts sweet with very subtle roasted cereal, and leaves almost no after taste. Opaque black with a brown head that quickly fades away.

Got this on tap at the local Old Chicago as one of their rotating locals. Color was dark brown with deep red undertones. Nice light brown creamy head, not too much lacing. Great smell - coffee, roasted chocolate, faint hoppiness. Taste is even stronger than smell - coffee, chocolate, light hops, sweet taste with a very smooth and creamy finish. Great stout.

UPDATED: NOV 1, 2015 To me, Buffalo Sweat doesnt sound like a very flattering name for a beer. It sure doesnt exactly SOUND irresistible, but dont judge a can by its unusual title. This brew is silky smooth and has a generous tan head. The taste is almost unreal: chocolaty, creamy, and rich with some touches of coffee (all the roastiness and little of the bitterness). I would and will have this stout again.

Almost poured brown. had some light brown head. Nose is toasty roasty and bready with some chocolates and a touch of earthy hops. Flavor is toasty malts, light smokey malts, chocolates, breads, and medium toffee flavors. Medium body. really full of flavor.

Shared with Zach on the patio, pours a deep dark black color with a small java head. Nose is chocolate , coffee and oatmeal, and rich malt. Taste is sweet chocolate and malt. Smooth and velvety, with a nice sweet chocolate finish. Dessert in a tall boy . Quaff Score 8 / 10

Draft @ MCI Marriott. Nice roasty aroma. No lingering head, blackish color with red tint. Very smooth taste of roast. Full bodied. Overall a really nice stout.

Tallgrass Buffalo Sweat has a thin, fizzy, quickly-dissipating head, a dark brown appearance, and no lacing left behind. The aroma is of creamy, chocolaty, dark-roasted barley malt, coffee, and brown bread crust. The flavor is of that, with a touch of char, sugar, and very mellow bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium and velvety, and Tallgrass Buffalo Sweat finishes semi-dry and highly drinkable. RJT

Black with a creamy beige head. Subtle roasted malt aroma, chocolate, light earth, sugary sweetness. Full, smooth, creamy body. Flavor is very well put together with all the flavors melting to become one enjoyable beer. Roasted malts, chocolate, a bit of earth notes. A very enjoyable stout. Im not generally a fan of Tallgrass but this one is fantastic.
