Our first draft-only Explorer Series release, Key Lime Pie is an American sour blonde ale brewed with Sorachi Ace hops, a Japanese variety with a unique lemon-lime citrus character. Also added in the brew are lactose and lime peel, which give the beer a complex sweet-tart interplay and a bold aroma of the beer’s namesake. The addition of lactobacillus gives the beer a slightly sour edge, and a generous malt bill provides a solid foundation with just a hint of graham cracker crust.

can. pale golden with one finger head. lightly tart, but with a nice vanilla sweetness. lime, a reasonable approximation of graham cracker. i love key lime pie, and had several beers that attempted these flavors. this is easily the best.

Interesting. Creamy and sweet with the tartness of key lime. Surprisingly nice. Would be a nice dessert beer in the summer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Thanks Danny! Nice key lime flavor. Pretty sweet, with a nice bit of tart bite. Graham cracker taste in the flavor as well. Pretty interesting stuff.

Tried this as a mixed 6 pack single can. Glad I did. Not my favorite type of beers mixed with lime juice. I've had better. I've had worse. Won't buy again. Tallgrass usually makes good and interesting stuff. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

!2 ounce can at home Smells sweet and limey. Big white, fluffy head. lighter copper in color. Taste the citrus and lime but not overly hopped. Different. Pretty much smooth except for a little bit of citrus after bite. Overall the aroma is exceptional on this beer.

12 oz. can. Pours a clear, dark gold color, with a big, fleeting, fizzy, white head. The aroma is lime peel, salt, yogurt, green apples, and syrup. Sweet flavor, with a light tart note coming forward, that gets stronger as it warms. Light body, with a thin and acidic mouthfeel. Nice concept, and it kinda works, but it's too light to pull it off. Seems more like a weak gose.

Can poured a clear gold with a lingering ring of white foam. Aromas 8f vanilla, lime and graham cracker. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry tart finish. Flavors of lime, graham cracker and light vanilla with a crisp dry tart lingering lime pie finish.

Can; pours clear straw gold with an egg shell colored head; nice key lime pie aroma with a hint of malt; taste is mostly sweet key lime pie with a touch of malt in the background; dry, slightly tart lime finish; I liked this more than the actual pie
