Another outstanding outing from Tallgrass Brewery. I really can’t tout our loccal/regional craft brewers enough. The other reviews and product description say it all. mlmeeks (46) - Winona, Mississippi, USA - FEB 13, 2013
From can. Slight caramel aroma with some EKG like aroma and taste. Lite laces on the glass. Imperial ESB? Try it. jlanning215 (363) - Peoria, Illinois, USA - FEB 5, 2013
Beautiful artwork. I wasn’t sure what to expect. Hoppy resin, almost bready aroma. Intense hoppiness then it mellowed. Stilled ended as a big hop bomb. But just enough malts to make me happy and wanting more. Great Job maekchu (3944) - Hirakata, JAPAN - JAN 24, 2013
Can at sampling session. From notes (Oct. 11, 2011). Some light chocolate, caramel, earthy aroma. Pretty orangeish color. More caramel and light fruit in initial; nice dirty hoppiness in mid. Quite drinkable. An ESB with a bit of a punch. EtTuCthulhu (1391) - Columbia, Missouri, USA - JAN 20, 2013
The aroma of this beer is hops and roasted malts, and the appearance of the beer is orangeish brown with a frothy white and prominent head. This beer is quite bitter when it first hits the tongue, but it finishes abruptly and significantly less bitter than it starts. It also has a medium-full body, a creamy texture, and flat carbonation.

We had this beer at the 2013 Tops of the Hops in Biloxi, MS. A really different beer. Caramel color, hoppy taste. Good. We’re big fans for the artwork too. trail_and_ale (43) - Eden Prairie, Minnesota, USA - JAN 16, 2013
Exceptional beverage with a unique blend of hops and malt, unlike any I’ve had. Nice caramel color, uniform thick head. Tallgrass gets high marks for a complete, but not overbearing hop aroma and a biscuity finish. One of my new favorites. Barreras (1689) - Diamond Bar, California, USA - JAN 1, 2013
Pours a copper color with a malt aroma. It has a floral hoppy aroma and taste as well. A very dry tasting beer that has a strong bitter aftertaste. Beer was in a tall can which gave it a slight metallic taste. backdaft (286) - Menasha Red Light District, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 31, 2012
Bottle. Pours a hazy deep copper color. Nice 2 finger tanish head leaves lacing all the way down! Aroma is upfront caramel toffee malt. Taste is malty, resin-like hoppiness, and bitter grapefruit rind. A "Big" hoppy beer with a strong malt presence makes this a winner. My only wish; the hop characteristics were more pronounced in this one. I like malt too. but I like hops more! jrodooo5 (1680) - DOVER, Delaware, USA - NOV 23, 2012
Pours a merky gold with a nice tan head that leaves significant lacing. The aroma is a nice blend of malt & hop. The taste is a very good match to the smell. It’s very clean & drinkable at the remarkable 94 iBU & 7.2%. The hop presence is there but the malt balances it beautifully so it’s not hops galore. Impressive!
