Black with a creamy tan head that subsides quickly.
Aroma of coffee, cocoa powder and vanilla.
The flavor is lightly sweet, following the aroma with some roast malt bitterness giving balance to the sweetness. Kroney (256) - San Diego, California, USA - DEC 4, 2015
Can to pint glass. Appearance: black with a porous tan head. Aroma: big coffee, dark chocolate, light vanilla.Taste: mocha coffee forward with mild vanilla. Palate: good carbonation, easy drinking. Great dessert stout. nearbeer (5514) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - NOV 23, 2015
Pint on tap. Opaque ebony with a lasting thin covering of foam. Nose is dusty grain, vanilla and coffee. Tastes of semi-sweet chocolate, dark roast coffee, vanilla and a touch of green herb. Near-medium body has a medium, smooth carbonation. Highly drinkable with a light hand on the vanilla bean that complements, rather than overwhelms, the nice beer underneath. lbianchi66 (417) - FRANCE - NOV 6, 2015

Can from Tim, thanks man!! Appearance is black with light mocha head. Aroma vanilla, lactose, light coffe roast, and chocolate. Taste is light roast, vanilla, and a hit of chocolate. This is pretty decent, nice amount of roast balanced with a hint of vanilla sweetness, nice!

Can shared in LDN, thanks to Manny G. Pours clear brown with a mild, tan cream topping. Big sugary milk chocolate aroma with touches of coffee grounds and burnt grains. Medium sweet flavor with some cheap-tasting chocolate character, earth, burnt wheat. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Sweet finish with light nutty elements, more milk chocolate, soft earthy bitterness, burnt bread. Tasty if a bit simplistic. Farewell Jack bottleshare at Craft Clerkenwell. Cheers to Manny. Almost clear but deep amber beer, thin cream colour head. A little pecan nuts on the nose! Palate is airy, soft and semi dry. Modest fine carbonation. Trace of pecan follows the snout. Mellow vanilla and mild bourbon biscuit. Touch of chocolate. Light semi dry finish. Interesting but never quite reaches full lift off.
Bottle @ The Clerkenwell Share. Thanks to Manny! Deep brown pour with a modest white head. Nose reminds of of frosted sugar shredded wheat. Unmistakable shredded wheat, some brown sugar. Vanilla cream. Taste is quite sweet. Restrained by some toasted grain. Nice balance. Creamy, easy going on the palate. Good for what it is. Can thanks to Manny G. It pours cloudy deep brown with a small tan head. The nose is sweet vanilla right in your face, coconut, pretty creamy, milky way, nuts and some maple syrup. The taste is smooth, toasty, earthy roast, wood, roasted nuts, maple syrup and shredded wheat. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Smooth and no real sign of the 5% alcohol. Not much depth, but very drinkable anyhow.
