COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Wild Plum Farmhouse Ale is a crisp, slightly tart, and uniquely refreshing beer. An infusion of wild plums, hand-picked at a genuine farmhouse, gives this beer a light tangy fruit flavor.

The perfect summer companion. Farmhouse ales are also known as “saisons” (French for seasonal), a style of summer beers traditionally brewed by Belgian farmers to serve farm workers as part of their wages. Not a bad deal, if you can get it.

Wild Plum is available each summer, June through July.

Can. Pours a clear yellowish gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has earthy grains and Belgian yeast with and a bit of flora. Flavor has earthy grains and Belgian yeast with a hint of light fruit in the finish.

16 oz can. BB 01/11/14. From a trade with deyholla.
Golden colour with a small dense creamy white head. Yeast, mild bitterness, fruits and hops in the aroma. The flavour is Belgian yeast, grassy hops, moderate bitterness and some fruitiness. Tasty. Plums I can’t find but it doesn’t matter. This is good.

BVery (10500) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - JUL 13, 2013
Sampled from a can at All Pints North 2013 in Duluth, MN. Hazy yellow pour with a white head. Some tart plum coming through. Slight funk. Decent enough brew for the summer months.

arminjewell (9635) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - APR 20, 2015
Pour on tap at All Pints North, clear golden pour with white head, aroma brought notes of bread, biscuit, yeast into a bit of banana, bubblegum into some slight fruity notes, hints of spice. Taste was a mix of yeast, bread, dough into a bit of banana, slight white fruit, hints of esters into some pepper, slight grass, finishing slightly dry, slightly bitter.

bytemesis (8364) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - SEP 26, 2013
Can. Pours hazy butterscotch with a large puffy off white head that has good staying power and laces well. Aroma is fairly standard saison, peppery, yeast, lemon, herbs. Flavor is the same with a fruity, kind of odd, note over the top. Light plus sweet, a touch of lemony zest. Medium body, high carbonation. Not bad, actually.

Ughsmash (7508) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 15, 2014
Canned. Poured clear, bright golden with a sticky white head. The aroma picked up sweet plums and clove spicage over bready malt. The flavor found black pepper, cloves, and banana over bready malt and a touch of plum.. back to the spices on the quick, dry finish. Lighter-bodied and dry.. ok feel and flow.. overall not that interesting.

Strykzone (7356) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - SEP 22, 2013
Sampled at Kennys. This is a nice saison. I kept looking for plum but found none. Still, it is a nice beer. Just a bit of bret.

wlajwl (6803) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - AUG 27, 2013
Aroma is spices, grainy malts and plums. The flavor is spices, grainy malts, plums/berries/dark fruit and a slightly sweet/tart finish. A little more grainy than preferable but decent as a whole.

16 ounce can. Pours a pale gold with an average white head. Aroma of yeast, fruit, and spice. Taste is yeast, fruits (plums?), and spice. Interesting Saison.

Big can shared by Ed5388. Ed told me that he choose the screen name Ed5388 because that’s the highest number he can count to. Poured with an appearance that seemed infected, all head at first followed by a long slow settle. Body of an orange/gold body under that ridiculous head. Aroma is all Belgian style, lots of yeast, slight fruitiness, bubble gum and chalk. Medium body with average carbonation, chalky, long lasting aftertaste. Flavor of yeast, plums, bubble gum, dry bread. Meh.
