TimE (6259) - Tokyo, JAPAN - OCT 30, 2015
Golden color. Frothy white head. Stone fruit with big heavy malt backbone with a fair amount of headiness. The mouth is medium bodied with lower carbonation. Very well balanced but definitely a bit more on the malty side. Big bitter finish. Very beautiful.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks zvsn. Cloudy yellow. Aroma of stale fruity hops. Flavor has sweet malt, marmalade, and bitter stale hops. Medium-bodied.

Very piney. Some citrus and hay. Pours light orange with good head. Bitter finish. Soft carbonation. Good stuff. Tap at Churchkey.

UPDATED: JUL 9, 2015 On tap at Smoke House Ape. Pretty straight up. An unassuming gold, nice piney hop, decent hop bite and flavour. What really surprised was how well the ABV and bitterness stayed restrained for an imperial. Very smooth to drink, it was gone in minutes on a hot day. Smooth, standard, a solid tasty 2IPA that just the lacks the complexity of their 10th anni but does the job.

Bottle version. Apricot marmelade, cake. Mango, bitter citrus, biscuit, green pine, dry hoppy finish. Quite a bit of yeast sediment. Was expecting a bit more, but still a solid and smooth hoppy iipa.

RafeAU (628) - Los Angeles, California, USA - APR 7, 2015
bottle from craft beer base osaka. Delicious aroma bursting with hops. The finish is moderately dry, extremely bitter (a bit much for me even for an imperial ipa). A very good IIPA.

UPDATED: MAY 20, 2016 Rerate: Bottle/Tap recently. Bitterness seems to have become more harsh. Still has good grapefruit pithiness and orange zest, but the palate and finish is a hit of bitterness. Still nice, but a bit messier than I remembered. 330ml bottle from Tanakaya. Poured into an English pint. Hazy golden mt tharmalade color with a modest soapy head that dissipates fairly quickly, but leaves a nice collar throughout. Great lacing. Huge aromas of pine, resin, catpiss, grapefruit, papaya and passion fruit. Bitter on the palate with some citrus sweetness (mikan). Grapefruit pith in there as well on the bitter side. Medium body with average carbonation. Slightly oily and sticky mouthfeel. Nice long bitter finish. Hides the alcohol really well. Excellent offering.

330 ml bottle poured into a hotel glass. Hazy golden brown with off-white head. Aromas of grapefruit citrus, floral, tropical fruit. Tastes of grapefruit citrus, floral, light pine and caramel.

Gurthnar (6280) - Bratislava, SLOVAK REPUBLIC - SEP 20, 2014
Bottle. Aroma fruity, hoppy, orange, citrus, lychee. Clear orange colour. Fruity hoppy flavour, same as above, fresh crisp. High bitterness, but also decent balancing sweetness. Long fruity hoppy finish. Very good.
