Marc (486) - Yokosuka, - JAN 19, 2008
Creamy oily beige head on top of a glowing coppery orange body. Creamy, bready, and piney nose is amazingly balanced. Toasted biscuits and citrus rind. Firm mouthfeel with a little tingle, very herbal and vegital hops with a firm carmel backbone. Hides 8.2% very well. Very well balanced, hard to believe its a double IPA. Finishes bready and softly bitter.

Sampled from bottle at kermis’ German trophy tasting. Courtesy of zer0! Thanks for bringing this over! Sweet caramel malts, fudge, bitter nettle like hops. Quite sweet and quite bitter. Medium body, soft carbonation. Quite malty oily slick. Nice though, 愛!

Bottle shared thanks to Zer0. Bit hazy darker golden with small off white head. Quite malty, soft tea, apricot, soft dust, herbs. Quite hoppy but more in an apricot/tea way. Quite sweet and bitter. Over medium bodied. Bit rough and old school.

8%ABV. Imperial IPA Poured out amber. 10°SRM. Nose has aromas of pineapple, tangerine, pine, and citrus peel. Mouthfeel is soapy. Palate has sweet malt with wheat toast, and honeyed graham crackers. Hops are citrus peel, pine and hyssop. Malt body is a little more aggressive than I like it. Finish is medium. Hyssop Overall a very very good brew.

Oakes (17676) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 2, 2016
Golden and hazy, medium head. Good, hoppy brew - some mid 00s hop character, big of alcohol late and a light pale malt character to hold it together, as the hops get chewy towards the finish.
