2017 bottle. Pours a murky opaque orange-amber, fast dissipating head, rising bubbles. Massive whiskey barrel aroma, sumptuous caramel, grassy, hoppy. Strong flavour of Ichiro, caramel fudge, oak, toffee, stewed fruits. That whisky rides the palate the whole way, the house IPA is a bit muted despite being pushed to imperial but carries a pleasant underlying bitterness. Sweet, chewy, very hot. Nice stuff. Edit: the last ounce seemed to hop up and brighten the beer a tad. Perhaps give it a light roll.

Bottle share at the WWWW beer tasting at iphonephan’s. Lite amber with small offwhite head. Caramel malt, oak, booze. Very much like a barley wine. Eh.

Hazy, bit of foam and even some lacing. Aroma is strong and really hits you with caramel and booze. Nice, scratching your nose. Taste is sweetish, bitterness there too, alcohol coming through but still balanced in a way. Good and warming beer for a winter night. Kind of reminding me some De Molen beers with their full palate and craziness.

Thanks TimE for sharing the bottle! Poured into a tulip taster showing cloudy brown with no head. The nose shows a lot of whisky notes and dominated with oak notes. The palate is full bodied and moderately carbonated. Flavors of intense and large whisky with a lot of caramel, biscuit, and oak/vanilla notes. Definitely a lighter and brighter whisky flavor profile but the alcohol only appears on the end with hints of spiciness.

tepid amber. Stale paper and light caramel sugar, light mango. Hot, woody front palate, light oak and peppery cognac accents mid-finish, sticky and hit end with light spice nuance.

Orange pour. Very syrupy. Too much like a barley wine rather than an IPA. Bottle.
